Disappointed

I booked a 4-night stay at this hotel but left after a few hours. Problems we encountered:1. The nightly rate was $30 per night more than what I was quoted on the internet. I had to pull out my E-confirmation, at which point the clerk reduced the rate.2. I booked two rooms (large family) 4 months in advance and requested that the rooms be located next to each other. They were not.3. As soon as my 7-year-old son entered one of the rooms, he remarked, "Look Dad! The wallpaper is coming off!" It was. Room condition was not great.4. The keyless door did not work properly. I spent an hour with the maintenance tech while he took the assembly apart and re-built it - and it still didn't work.5. I requested a new room with a properly-working door, but no other rooms were available. At this point, my wife was REALLY unhappy.6. I requested some consideration from management for the problems incurred - a good, stiff, free drink would have sufficed - but management refused.7.

Incredible!

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it's amazing! We stayed for a week and the lounge was very inviting. There was a great indoor pool and outdoor hottub for the kids. Their breakfast buffet was the best I've had in a motel. The man who made the omelettes made the best I've ever had. They were very accomadating, bringing us a crib and microwave when we asked. Its really nice that theres an onsite restuarant.

Awesome stay!!!

What a beautiful hotel and nice friendly people. They just finished a renovation and the new changes are warm and inviting. The Atrium lobby has a great fireplace amongst trickling fountains. We especially enjoyed the made to order omelette and waffle bar included in the free breakfast..nice touch. All of the amenities of a 4 star Hotel at an amazing value! We will definitely return.

Renovated rooms and Atrium are beautiful. Great Breakfast!

We loved this Hotel. The free breakfast included a made to order omelette and waffle bar (nice touch). The renovated rooms have flat screen TV's, fridge and micro. All for very low rates. Great happy hour in the bar as well. Next time we are in Colorado Springs we will definately stay in the Academy Hotel.
