AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Couldn't complete job and threatened customer when questioned.

I dropped off a small trim panel to be recovered, as a test for a larger job. The owner told me that it would be a "couple weeks" to complete the job. After two weeks went by I called to check in, the owner said that it wasn't done but it would be next week. I called back at the end of the next week and once again I was informed that it was not done and it would be done "next week". Of course at the end of that week it still wasn't touched. I stopped by to pick up the part. The owner gave me the excuse that he was 8 weeks behind, even though he said 2 when the part was dropped off. When I called him out on this conflict, he got extremely angry. The owner then began to yell, shout out obscenities and even threaten harm as I was walking out the door. I have NEVER been treated in such a way from a business. The owner continued shouting profanities as other customers were walking in.

First the owner Steve does not adhere to his own hours of operations as posted on his door, and was arrogant about it when I brought it up to his attention. He strolled in about 40 minutes later than the posted opening time on his own sign. To make matters worst, the workmanship on the upholstery was weak on a jeep seat. I dropped off the work on 6/13 and got it back 6/28. I’d also left the original material with him because he needed it as a template. There was an area that needed sewing for wires to be put in place and to fasten all the material together, but for some reason it was not sown at all. Steve knew I needed the work completed as soon as possible, so in return he took his time and charged me $265 for incomplete work. He only had to make a seat cover and didn’t have to put the material back on the frame of the seat. Now many would say, why didn’t you just leave when he didn’t show up according to the posted time on his own sign, or why don’t you just have the “guy” fix it correctly. I gave Steve “one shot” because at the end of the day I believe in giving the local small shops a chance and didn’t go with Knowles who came highly recommended. I will share my experience with all the car and motorcycle enthusiast who I know and like restoration projects. Unfortunately I will not be recommending Rocky Mountain Upholstery due to their lack of workmanship, timely work, and man who does now know enough about humility to own a shop, nonetheless run it correctly. I dropped off the jeep seat cover an hour later at a reputable place after I’d discovered the mistake, and found myself hearing an unnecessary apology from the shop that had nothing to do with the mistake. Never again!

I took my truck to Steve & Zach at Rocky Mountain Upholstery to change my seats from cloth to leather. He was very informative on all the different choices. He Kept me informed every step of the way. It turned out BEAUTIFUL! It looks and smells like a brand new truck. Steve took a little extra time and even shampooed my carpet for FREE! I will recommend this business to all my friends and family.

Steve has upholstered many pieces of furniture for us over the years and a complete leather interior in my Hummer. His experience with many different types of leathers and materials was impeccable. The quality of workmanship and time that he puts into his work is second to none. We have recommended him to many of our friends and family and will continue to do so.

Steve repaired my sectional sofa and did a great job! Professional, wide choice of fabrics, courteous, reasonable. I would recommend Rocky Mountain Upholstery without hesitation to my business customers.

Steve is wonderful to work with . Very knowledgeable a wonderful sense of color. My couch is beautiful, the workmanship is outstanding . My sister in law thought we had bought a brand new couch. I actually think it looks better than brand new. I will use Rocky Mountain Upholstery for all my other reupholstering projects in the future.

Steve from Rocky Mountain Upholstery Co was very professional and pleasant. He knew what he was talking about and answered all our questions. His work is impeccable I would recommend him to everyone. We are very happy with the work he has done on our recliner.

Steve was very polite and made sure I had the right decision when it came to picking out the right convertible top for my vintage mustang. He answered all my questions and definitely knew what he was doing. When he put the top on it had no wrinkles, was tight and looked like I just picked it up from the car dealership. This service was great and I got the help I needed to getting a new convertible top. My car looks great! Thank you Rock Mountain Upholstery.

Steve made lots of promises but never delivered. Found out he has a criminal record and hides out in woodland park where he and his children have caused problems. He has been sued multiple times. Cannot trust this guy
