This is a great campground for...

This is a great campground for small trailers and tents, but if you are pulling a large fifthwheel or motorhome look elsewhere. The connections for the sewer, water and electric are on the wrong side and to line up the trailer so our electic would reach, we had to use 4 hoses to reach the sewer! The ground right outside the door was so unlevel I was afraid of falling. There was no where to setup a picnic area outside our trailer door. The oneway drive up and down to the campground is the only way in and out, so if you meet someone coming up, while you are going down, someone is going to have to backup. NOT GOOD! The tree right at the enterence of the oneway lane has evidence of many hits. I was amazed we missed it ourselves. Now that being said. The people who run this are so nice, and the bug musum is wonderful and fun. I would go here again in a tent, But never in my 40ft fifthwheel! We were here in June 2011

The Golden Eagle campground is...

The Golden Eagle campground is a rustic and inviting campground. The lake offers fishing, the large campground offers walking, hiking, biking and opportunities to see wildlife. Our children love this campground and the surrounding area. We tent camp and go to this campground at least 4 times a year and find the water and electrical connections at some of the tent sites to be a great convenience! We've never had a bad experience. The ladies who man the office are so nice and accomodating to us and all of our children (5). We've had wonderful experiences through the years at this campground and would recommend it to any one wanting a great camping experience. The Bug museum is fantastic and worth the time. The Space Museum, though basic, is great for kids and adults alike. We'll be back soon for further fun.
