I walked in for my appointment two minutes before my scheduled time and waited in line. When I got to the desk, the receptionist took my payment and told me that I was late because I had to fill out paperwork beforehand and it would take too long. The paperwork was basic contact info and a handful of boxes to check.



I finished at the same time that she finished talking to the client behind me in line. Receptionist went to the back and did not return to the front for over 10 minutes. When she returned, she told me she wasn't sure if there was time for my appt, and asked me to sit down and wait while she found out.



After an hour, she told me to reschedule. She was very unpleasant about the whole thing.



If I could get my money back from Groupon, I would. Unfortunately, the jerk redeemed my coupon, and now I can't get a refund.

Skin Studio & Laser Boutique is amazing! I have had 4 laser treatments here so far, and am loving the results. I am shocked by the review that only gave 1 star. If you have been burnt by a laser, you would not receive a steroid shot. A steroid shot is administered if you have a histamine reaction. Folliculitis is not a burn either. I have been an esthetician for 7 years and have also worked with a dermatologist. I could never imagine Shelly having a rude or hateful attitude toward a client. Every time I have gone, they have always been super friendly. They also do everything to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend Skin Studio & Laser Boutique for all of your laser hair removal needs!

I have gotten my Brazilian done two times package and have also gotten my underarms done once and am more than happy with the results so far! I also added my legs for next month, I might have to shave a few stray hairs after about a week or week and a half on my Brazilian after the two treatments and after the one treatment of my underarms I shaved almost a week ago and can barley see a couple black dots or stubble under my arms! Love it! Would and have recommended this place to several people!!

My first experience at Skin Studio was great- I had a technician that was friendly and knowledgeable. But, my second visit was far worse. On my second visit for laser hair removal, the owner (Shelly) was the technician. She used a different laser and shortly after my legs began swelling and itching. She assured me this was normal and to use an allergy relief ointment. I did this but the severity greatly increase through the night.



By the next morning, my legs were in huge welps that itched with pain. I called Shelly to inform her of the situation and was told that I needed to read my paper instructions that I recieved on my first visit (which was 7 weeks prior that I did not keep- my fault.) Fast forward a week later and the issue is still painful and irritating so I consulted my doctor. When he saw my legs, he informed me that the technician had burned my skin and that I had a condition called Folliculitis. I was perscribed a steroid and an antibiotic. I again called Shelly to inform her of what my doctor said. She promptly said that there was no way that I was burned. I sent pictures to her and her reply was "I've never seen anything like that." No apology, no offer to pay for my doctor's visit, nothing.



I thought it might have been a strange error and was going to give them one last try. Fast forward 6 weeks later and my legs STILL aren't healed completely. Yes, there is much improvement but I did not feel comfortable continuing on with another treatment at that time. I called and left a message to cancel my appointment and reschedule. When I spoke to Shelly the next day, she informed me that I would be charged a $25 cancellation fee for not cancelling within 24 hours. At that point, her attitude and rudeness were prevelant. I told her I didn't know if I would like to reschedule at this point. Her response was to take it up with groupon and was promptly hung up on.



Think twice before you go for a good deal, especially when it pertains to your health. I was willing to overlook an error but just couldn't get past the owners rudeness and unwillingness to take fault in the situation.
