This company came highly recommended by several sources. However, when they came out, they spent 3 minutes assessing my situation and determined they could not program me a new transponder key without extensive eclectrical repairs. I called another locksmith, who came out and had my key successfully programmed and my truck back on the road within 20 minutes at a fraction of the cost Michael's would have charged. Two stars to Michael's because they did not charge me a dime. They lose three stars for not knowing enough to get me back on the road and wasting my time. Note: The dispatcher I spoke with first was quite rude; the technician wasn't overly friendly, but as I say, at least he didn't charge me. By the same token, he was no more helpful than anyone who did not claim to be a locksmith. I will never use Michael's, nor will I recommend them.

I bought a new gun safe as part of Gander Mtn's going out of Business sale, but needed someone to move it. Called around and Michael's had the best price and could schedule me in quickly. I appreciated the constant and thorough communication from the beginning. Ariel was very courteous and informative on the phone on the initial scheduling, and then Paul and Chris kept me up to date on their status, and were even able to come much earlier. when arrived they took the effort to make sure my home, walls, and flooring were protected during the moving. Then once in place, they leveled it and ops checked all parts. Chris then expertly explained the operation of the lock, re-setting the combo, registration of warranty, etc. All this for a hundred dollars less than the next closest bid. I see where other reviewers were dissatisfied on other areas and I can't speak to them, when it comes to moving your safe, these are the folks to call.

I purchased a Key Fob for a Volks 2003 Jetta. I took to Michaels Keys and they did cut the flip out key for me but told me they could not guarantee they could program it to start the vehicle & I would still have to pay $65 either way. I was able to program the locking & unlocking easily. Since I had one key I decided to wait & do some more checking. That was 3 months ago, so my son loses the only key, I call Michaels keys and they 1st say they can do it and switch me to the store, then I'm told they can't & put on hold for 12 min so I call back. I'm told they can't do it, I mentioned before they said they bought some token on line. Now after holding rudely I am told yes they can. No addl info, so I asked how much this would cost, I am told $195 with my Fob & $95 if it doesn't work. I might as well hand over $95 as I have no confidence they could do it. Called dealer & there $140 to program my FOB & guarantee they can do it, I will have to go that route.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I was well serviced in a timely manner. John is a great technician. I will definitely return. :)

I called to get a quote on replacing a post office box lock/key -- total of $92 ($60 for call; $20 for install; and $12 for lock). I went ahead and paid in advance with a credit card. Locksmith arrived on time and was friendly and efficient. However, a week later when I check my account, I was charged more than what was quoted. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed with the old bait and switch tactic used and will NEVER call on them again nor refer them to anyone!!!

I broke a key off in the ignition of my old 87 Chevy pickup. I called up Michael's and they sent someone over immediately. John was very friendly and fixed my ignition quick and made me a set of new keys for no extra cost. These guys are definately my new personal locksmith.

These guys are are awesome! Very friendly and very fast service.

I was recently in the market for a new gun safe and I stopped by this place. I was very happy to see that the employees were all extra kind and very informative about my product choices and my budget. Now I've got a brand new high security Amsec gun safe. I highly recommend Michael's to anyone looking to buy a new safe.

I locked my keys in the car today at the grocery store. I was worried about my groceries spoiling and at the same time I was so embarassed! I called my friend Shannon and she referred me to Michael's. The guy they sent out was so friendly and helpful and assured me it happens all the time. From the time I called they had someone there within 20 minutes and I was on my way. I usually don't write reviews, but these guys were lifesavers and extremely friendly and professional.
