This place sucks and the food is even worse. Drinks are over priced. There are many restaurants in the area that are better

Ate at Firebirds on December 28th for dinner.

Best part: service was friendly and our waitress especially was very nice did a good job

Worst part: Salmon was completely raw and cold, not only in the middle but the entire filet was ice cold. One person had to eat by themselves after the 2nd attempt came out about 15 mins later. No comp, just an apology but a couple of sorry statements didn't make up for a bad overall experience.

Full scoop:
Seemed like a nice place, staff was pretty friendly overall and the service (outside of the bar) was pretty good. I found it a little shaky when I asked if I could grab a drink at the bar for happy hour and bring it to my table (as it was about 6:15 - 15 mins before happy hour ended and we had reservation for 6:30) - I was told it was not likely but they would ask the bar, they came back and said I could pay for it up there and still get happy hour and then take it to my table. I'm not sure if they purposely did not recognize me at the bar but I did not get served for 10 mins or so, so I left and I chose not to have a drink.

We were there with 4 people for a Christmas holiday before I headed back to Washington state (where we know how to cook salmon) so we were definitely hoping for a good family meal before i headed back. Before you say anything about my roots and WA, I grew up in Phoenixville, went to PAHS, and Drexel University - just happen to live out there now but still head back to p-ville regularly.

Two people at the table ordered drinks, gin/tonic and whiskey w/lime - but what was delivered was straight gin and whiskey w/lemon. We brushed it off because they were busy so just asked for tonic for the gin and just had the one whiskey (with Lemon, not good).

We all ordered side salads which were okay but I have an issue when the salads are pre-made and come out of a fridge rather than made to order - it was apparent because whoever had finished my salad had greasy fingers and that cold grease stayed on the fork they served with the salad - it was very off-putting. (Imagine looking at your fork in a salad and seeing a clear grease imprint of someone's fingerprint - gross).

Then when the entrees came out one of the dishes was completely raw - the Salmon. As someone who cooks Salmon regularly, it was quickly seared (if that) and tucked under burnt "fried" spinich and potatoes - as if it was going to hide a completely raw piece of fish. The house did send two managers over to apologize (one admitting it "should have never come out" but it was worth zero considering one person ate alone. I'm not asking for a complete meal comp but maybe a gesture of a drink or a desert or something that says "yea, we messed up and we want to make up for it", not 'we messed up, sorry'.

So yea, this place seems to rely on heavy volume and getting tables in and out without a whole lot of regard to the actual dining experience as it should be. I was there probably an hour at most, felt rushed, and still saw several plates go back.

This place is seemingly okay with apologizing for poor food rather than holding themselves to a higher standard so that each dish is treated with some level of care for a patron about to consume it.

This was just my honest experience - it does not represent all experiences but it does represent our experience.
