Michael McCarty landscaped my small front and side areas of my home. I can not tell you the disappointment I got and the shock that I was ripped off so badly. I was very ill during this time and had to have a emergency spine and hip surgeries. Mike totally lied and took advantage of me while I was in the hospital and home very ill. He charged me $4500- $5000 to put in water sprinklers system in front that I ended up with about 8 sprinkler heads which were not even the same brand name! He probably used left over heads he had from previous jobs. I now have areas that don't have coverage or don't have areas covered properly. I had another licensed water sprinkler system company come out and they surveyed his work. The report was that he did not put the system in high enough for the sprinklers to water properly. Nor did he put in enough or the right kind of water sprayers. He in fact used at least two different kinds of heads from different companies.The system will need to be overhauled as when I try to put water sprinklers in the back of my house will not work due to not having the proper height installed and the wrong plastic pipes used... He also built me a retaining wall ignoring the fact that the above current retaining wall need improvement before he ever started laying down the new wall. He should have told me this in the beginning.Now he is coming back to me saying not my problem.This is so unprofessional and now I have a current wall falling into the new wall he built. He was also to lay layers of dirt, sand, and mulch to yard.He placed mulch and no under soils so that if I dig 2 inches I hit red clay building mud so I can not plant there as plants will not survive..he was suppose to put 6" of soils which he did not do.He also charged me $3500 plus to remove two trees that were regular size and roots in my front yard! Really! He removed the same tree type and size in my side yard and charged me $300 for that one which also had the roots taken out..really $3500 for two trees was so wrong! He laid down grass as well and now the grass does not have sufficient water to keep it alive and the left over sod he put in a area not covered by water knowing it would die when he could have laid the extra sod on the left side that could have gotten hand watered but he wanted to keep that bare so he could charge me additional to do my backyard. I paid over $16,000 for his work and I got a yard that is now collapsing, water sprinklers that were put in wrong and dirt that I can not plant in as he laid 2" of mulch instead of the 6" he was suppose to including sand,dirt, and mulch. I want my yard to be corrected by Mike McCarty or refund my money. I hired him in good faith and he totally ripped me off. I live in Cape Royale and his mother lives here as well. I can't believe he would rip me off especially in a area where he and his family are known.
