One of the most outstanding things about The Great Blue Heron is that they only allow the top 8% of all Black Angus beef to enter the doors of their restaurant. The restaurant is certified in serving Black Angus beef. It was interesting to learn that for a restaurant to serve certified black angus beef, they need to go through a special type of program. The Great Blue Heron is the only restaurant at the current time in the central Minnesota area to be certified in serving black angus beef. The other restaurant that was certified was the Ground Round which now is closed. So if you want to be treated right while eatting the greatest food in Central Minnesota stop at The Great Blue Heron. You won't regret it.

Popular place for weddings. They have a nice large banquet room used for big gatherings. They have a large manu with many different selections. Drinks are good, and service is usually excellent. They have a few different types of cheesecake for dessert, which are very good.
