For the past five years we've spent part of each summer and every fall in this beautiful park. I wish we could live there. I appreciate the privacy and being left alone when we're there, and the professional demeanor of the owner.

I can't recommend this campground. We were treated rudely by a member of the staff and received no apology from Gary, the park's owner. Called ahead two weeks before arrival and a staff member said we could stay up to three hours after the traditional noon checkout on a Monday. We agreed to pay the extra $3/hour fee for the privilege of staying late. On that Monday morning, to confirm that we would need to stay after noon, a different staff member rejected the promise made by her colleague. She demanded we leave by noon. Unfortunately, we were committed to visit a local college and could not return until 2 p.m. The staffer repeated her demand that we leave be noon, suggesting that the site would be immediately occupied at 2 p.m. Note this was a Monday - 75% of the campground was empty. We returned at 1:30, packed the trailer fast in 95 degree heat, and were able to leave before 2 p.m. We received no thanks or acknowledgement of our efforts by said staff member. Three days after I called the owner to complain, he acknowledged that our site remained vacant after we left and the rush was unnecessary. Despite this, the owner never apologized and never acknowledged the inconvenience and stress his staffer put us in. You can expect the same treatment. Sorry, we won't be back. Ever.
