Provided by YP.comI have had a nightmare experience with this place! I went in for a sensitive tooth. Upon arriving as a new patient, i had a long wait only to find that no real treatment would be done. They did X-Rays and an exam and then I had to schedule a follow up appointment for the treatment and cleaning. When I went back for the filling that I needed, I had, once again, a long wait time. When the Dr. came in, I informed her that it takes more anesthetic to numb my mouth and that I have had bad experiences in the past, so I was nervous. She seemed to brush that off and gave me the normal anesthetic. After only 5 minutes or so, she began drilling. Well, sure enough, I felt it when she hit a certain area and it made me jerk. When I did that, she cut my face with the drill and then proceeded to lecture me about how I needed to hold still or she might end up hurting me again. There was no apology or anything. She also filled another tooth that didn't really need a new filling. She said it was a good idea because the filling is getting old. Well since then, this tooth has been hurting terribly. My mouth broke out in lesions and swelled up. I can no longer eat on that side of my mouth and forget any cold liquids! No concern has been shown on their part and now I am facing the possibility of a root canal on a tooth that was completely fine before the "routine" filling. I am in so much pain and they don't seem to care. They have really done nothing so far to help. They said my tooth could have been so decayed that the it didn't get completely cleaned out. Well as a dentist, shouldn't she have seen that when she was working on the tooth?? I will never, ever recommend this place to anyone. Please, invest time in looking for a qualified dentist who will listen to you and not treat you like just another mouth. I went here because it was so close to my home but I have learned my lesson. It's worth a longer drive to find someone who will treat you with care.

Provided by YP.comI drove 2.5 hours to see a dentist (I live in the boonies), filled out my paperwork indicating I wanted x-rays and a cleaning, they took the x-rays, looked at my teeth, then told me a dental hygienist wasn't in today - could I come back later? try never - lame y'all. lame. the corporation (this is a corporation you know, not just a dentist or two) claims their answering service is supposed to tell new patients they might not get their teeth cleaned on day 1. regardless, I was mad, felt ripped off (because they used up 1 of my 2 yearly dental visits), and then they kept sending me literature about cleft pallets. miserable - not great bedside manner either and very sterile (but not in a good way). where's the landscape photos I look at when you're scraping my molars? I think this corporation just wants our money & judging from other reviews, let's not give it to them! no one should be treated this way.

Provided by SuperpagesAfter reading many negative reviews about this office, I decided to contact other dentists in town. However, all of them chose not to answer their phone when I called during regular business hours. So, needless to say I made a Saturday appointment with Clovis Dental. They were excellent! Not only was the staff friendly, but they were extremely knowledgeable, caring, and patient. Maybe the other reviews were based on weekday appointments when they were super busy because I went into the appointment with hesitation, but I found them to be the exact opposite of the other negative reviews online. As a first time patient, I had to go through all of the initial consultation procedures (X-rays, recommendations, evaluations, etc.) which was sort of a bummer. Despite this, I was still out in under two hours on a Saturday. I would also highly recommend them based on the price and the quality of their services, and I will definitely make them my regular dentist.

Provided by SuperpagesDr. Cuenca is the rudest Dentist I have ever met. He is mean and non caring. Extensive wait times even with appointments. Confusing and differing information when going over tx plan. ST

Provided by SuperpagesWe were billed for more work than what was done. The doctor extracted too many teeth (per two other second opionions) from my 7 yr. old. Out of 6 visits, we only saw the doctor once. Each visit was a MINIMUM 90 minute wait. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST OR THE OFFICE. A few other people have already shared their stories with me and why they have left as well. Call another ortho/dentist, don't waste your time or money!
