Horrible!

They are unwilling to admit when they make a mistake and they are unwilling to listen to the owner. Our dogs had some problems and they wanted to do a bunch of very expensive tests instead of taking the time to listen to me. Ended up calling another vet who listened and the problem ended up being a simple fix but something the QPVH messed up on.

Our dog received excellent care

We received excellent care and attention from Dr. Smart. she gave our very sick dog loving care and attention. Would recommend her (and Quail Pointe) to anyone looking for veterninary compentency and all-around service.

Dr. Smart is a fantastic vet.

She took great care of our dog, Queenie. Dr. Smart treated us with great respect and attention to detail---she took the time to answer all of our questions and we felt that Queenie was given the best possible care, Great vet!

Extremely Disappointed

I needed to board my golden retriever over the weekend while going out of state. I called three weeks in advance, and called many different clinics/boarding facilities, looking for a boarder that does not require a kennel cough vaccine. My sister's dog had a severe reaction to kennel cough vaccine, and I wanted to avoid the vaccine if possible. The receptionist at Quail Pointe informed me the only vaccination they required was for rabies, NOT for kennel cough. I even told her that all of the other places I had called required the kennel cough vaccine, so I was so happy their facility didn't. She said, "Yes, we only require rabies. Just bring in your proof of rabies." So, three weeks later, at 8am the morning we are leaving for a 900 mile trip (and my dog is VERY prone to car sickness, and hates to travel), my Bella and I show up at Quail Pointe, only to be literally laughed at by a blonde young woman at the counter, and told, "We don't know of ANY place that will accept a dog for boarding without kennel cough vaccinations." She said they would have to give my dog the vaccination if I wanted her to stay there. She was extremely rude and condescending, treating me like I was absolutely stupid. She then proceeded to tell me she needed all of my dog's medical history paperwork for proof of vaccines, and she said they could do the kennel cough vaccine after I left for my trip. I had to go back home to get the paperwork, which she said was insufficient. She then said that it would be $125 for an exam and kennel cough vaccine for my dog, who I JUST had taken to my own vet for her yearly checkup and rabies vaccine a month prior (and had the written verifications/bills from that visit with me). She said that Quail Pointe does not give vaccines without a full exam, period. I sincerely feel that I was misinformed by this clinic, and that they knew that my options were very limited at the time I came to drop Bella off. I will never, ever recommend this clinic to anyone. As a side note, my dog did NOT stay at the clinic's boarding facility that weekend. She hopped right in the car with me. She did throw up twice during the trip, but once we had gone about 200 miles, and with frequent stops, she began enjoying herself. We had a great time. So, even though we were treated extremely poorly by QPVH, I am glad that I was forced to take Bella on the trip, because now I know she is a traveling companion after all. I love my pet too much to take her to this clinic. I truly feel like all they care about is money.

Always trying to charge you more money.

We took our dog in to Quail Pointe on a few occasions because they are near our house. I refuse to go back however because they always try to scam you for more money. We checked prices when we needed to get our puppy neutered and they were triple what other places were. Also my other dog has arthritus and needs medicine for it. They require her to have blood work every 6 months and one day we didn't have any and she was 2 weeks over due for blood work and they wouldn't even give us just like 5 pills until we could get her in. Their medicine prices are horrible so we finally found out Target fills pet medications but they refuse to write perscriptions for anywhere but themselves and their price was $110 versus targets $80 for a month supply. Poor service and too pricey for me and my dogs!

very loving and caring staff

I took my very sick dog to this vet they were very up front. They gave me a choice and a price estament with everything that they talked about. they cared about me and my family and had real true feeling about what was happening. In the long run our family decided to put our beloved jack russel to sleep and they walked us thru all the options. They made arangments with us to pay the bill and to have my belove buddie brought home.Thank you all so much for your wonderful support in our sadiest times and confusuion.I will never change vets again.

Dr. Ford is awesome!

Dr. Ford is awesome! she really cares about the animals!! She did everything for my dog including keeping somebody on staff he ended up passing but she called and updated us with everything she knew. The vet techs cried and shared their feelings with my kids. Thank you Dr. Ford for everything at Quail Pointe Vet Hospital!

Friendly & informative

We have had at least one dog in our home for the last 20 years. We've been to several vets in the area. Some made us feel like they just wanted to add procedures to make more money, or like a factory. Quail Pointe feels like a trusted family doctor for my pets! They are very friendly and informative. They treated our new puppy like she was a princess. They are now our only vet, for years to come!

Make sure to Communicate very clearly!

We took our dog to be groomed at Quail Pointe, leaving instructions to shave him down to 1/2 ". When my daughter brought him home later that day the groomer had only taken off 1/2" of hair! We have a long haired dog and it is mid July so I thought our instructions had been clear. When I called and asked if they would fix the cut I was told I could bring him in the next day no problem, then they call to tell me to pick him up and "by the way we are going to charge you AGAIN for the grooming". I argued with them reminding them that it was their fault the cut needed to be redone and was told that they had done what was asked of them and because I had changed my mind about the cut I had to pay again before they would release the dog! Both cuts were well done and he looked cute (always does), but to have to pay for another full groom when they made the mistake was infuriating, I will never go there again.

mrs

I personaly think this place is shady and overpriced, my son took in a stray cat to see if it was chipped, she needed medical care also, he paid 500.00 for the treatment, he found the owner 2 days later, come to find out she had taken the same cat here a couple of weeks prior, they treated her for the same thing, had they told my son they had just seen the cat and who owned the cat they would have never ripped him off 500.00, the owner had already pd for the same treatment eariler!! the owner had the same meds at her house, this place is all about the money even the heartworm is 30=40 percent higher than anyother vet

Will never go there again.

We took our dog there for a routine teeth cleaning. We picked her up that afternoon and took her home. We soon noticed there was a bandage on her leg and after taking the bandage off we realized that the catheter was still in her leg. I was so upset especially after I could tell that it was hurting our baby. We called and complained and of course they apologized and told us we were welcome to bring her back and they could take it out. A few years later we HAD to go there because our dog was in a full seizure and since Quail Pointe is the closest we decided to go there. Again, what a mistake. They gave her a few shots to calm her down and then basically rushed us out the door because they were closing. The original Vet that saw her when we came in just left in the middle of us trying to decide what to do. Our dog is a true part of our family and I cannot believe we were treated so poorly, I was disgusted. I don't have a good thing to say about them. And to top it off, their s
