Southern Gardens Citrus is one of the largest suppliers of Florida orange juice to the private-label industry and major brands. It offers a process featuring homegrown oranges and state-of-the-art processing and packaging. Southern Gardens Citrus has more than 3 million tries located near Clewiston, Fla. From 1986 to 1994, half a million specially bred trees were planted each year on former cattle pastures to create the company s groves. Southern Gardens Citrus groves produce more than 7 million boxes of Valencia and Hamlin oranges each season, enough for 42 million gallons of juice. A 56 million gallon not-from-concentrate juice storage facility and an additional 4 million gallons of concentrate storage helps the company produce orange juice year-round. Southern Gardens Citrus can process more than 20 million boxes of oranges each season and produce more than 120 million gallons of not-from-concentrate and frozen premium quality orange juice annually.
