So I have been to the Bodega a few times, I enjoy the martinis. Last night I found myself there again with a few friends, we had five drinks altogether and our bill added up to $52.50 The gentleman of our group paid the bill; placing a $50 bill and a $10 bill on the bar underneath the check. We said goodbye to the bartender, to the owner (Saiid) and all left together. My friend and I walked our other (paying) friend to his car and then went down the street to Panini's. After about an hour at Paninis we returned to the Bodega for one last drink before heading home; we ordered another martini and the bill.... When we received the bill it was for $78!!!!! the cost of the two martinis we had just ordered and the bill for $52.50 that we had already paid!!!!! Of course we thought this was a misunderstanding and called the bartender over to resolve the issue; we were greeted with malice, "you guys never paid your tab!" and I say "you must be kidding we were just here, we said bye to you before we left!" the bartender informed the owner of the problem and the owner said "they have to pay their bill" instead of coming over to talk to us and hear what we had to say. We ended up double paying the bill, in order for us leave. Not only would I not recommend this place; I would actually insist that you DON'T go anywhere near the Bodega, and IF YOU DO pay for each drink after you order it and request a receipt showing that you paid!!!

Bodega's is a really elegant and classy establishment. The atmosphere and crowd are great. Not to mention the food. Their shrimp bisque is very tasty. On several occasions I have tried atleast seven different martinis and they all were good. My favorite is the Pina Colado martini
