This is Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, that's right, the Denny's Beer Barrel Pub that is known for the "World's Largest Hamburger Challenges" and where it all began. What started with a two pound hamburger challenge with homemade buns baked in a coffee can, has now turned into a world famous event. "The Ye Olde 96er" is what really boosted Denny's Beer Barrel Pub into fame and has since been featured on The Food Network, Travel Channel, Tony Danza Show, Good Morning America, Today Show, David Letterman's Top 10, and Country Fried Home Videos on the Country Music Channel. While our two pound burgers are what bring people in, the quality of our daily food is what keeps them coming back. Our menu offers more than just burgers and includes more than 46 different types of wings and several delicious appetizers that are sure to satisfy any appetite. Be sure to wash your food down with one our more than 30 beers on tap including more than 20 craft and local brews. The staff at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub would like to welcome you to Clearfield and invite you to visit us and all our community has to offer. This is Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, that's right, the Denny's Beer Barrel Pub that is known for the "World's Largest Hamburger Challenges" and where it all began. I've been eating here since I was a kid. I've always had nothing but a great experience. They're always a hopping place, and when you go there during busy times, prepare to wait a bit. I think I've still only had to wait about 30 minutes at the longest once placing an order.

Awesome place

This place has awesome food. The menu is 8 plus pages in type 12 font with all kinds of items. The Clearfield burger is great and the wings are awesome. I have had most varieties of wings but stay away from the hottest. I have never been disappointed. They also have a wide variety of beers to include oatmeal stout and microbrewry bears from Otto's in State College, PA. Expect to be here a while because it takes a while to get your food. The owner told us everything is prepared on site and is fresh. This is not a get drunk and eat pizza and wings type of place. It is a nice bar and restaurant.

Worst Burger Ever!!!!

I don't know what the person who wrote "15 pound burger" experienced, maybe they work at Denny's because my experience was very different. I guess maybe when Denny's was featured on Rachel Ray and the Food Network they put out the good stuff because the burger I got (two pounder) was dry and if it had been tasteless I would have considered myself lucky. Aside from occasional trips to the local Chinese buffet I eat pretty healthy and I'm pretty regular if you know what I mean, but its going on three days since eating at Denny's and I am anything but regular now. I don't know what they used to make that burger but it tasted horrible, I don't know if it can even be classified as meat. On top of that when I asked for a water they told me they only had it in bottles so I figured that if I was going to buy my drink it might as well be beer. They screwed up my wife's salad, twice, which she never came close to finishing and they still tried to put it on the bill. The staff? Equally pathetic. The sign at the entrance said "Please wait to be seated." So we did, for quite some time while having waitresses walk past us until one finally told us just to have a seat. When I told her the sign should be turned around she blew it off. Our waitress was rude, until she gave us the check and it was time for her to get her tip, then she time for us.

I wasn't the only one to have this happen to me. Another individual there who was trying to eat the same brick on a bun as I was thought his was just as bad. Maybe it was just that night, I don't know but its a big risk to take if you're driving any distance to get to this place and then spending at least $15 dollars for a burger that might not be fit for human consumption, and I wouldn't feed to my dog if I was angry with him.

don't believe the hype

Recently i visited this restaurant and was highly disappointed. not only was the service terrible but they charge and ungodly amount for water and when i ordered a simple salad i had to send it back TWO times. i think this restaurant is more interested in making a buck rather than pleasing a customer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
