Mr. Stump removed 3 stumps in my yard. He was very professional and friendly. He used equipment to make sure no gas and cable wires were near the tree stump before removing. He was also very neat and clean and even cleaned up dirt that got in my neighbors yard. I highly recommend this company for tree stump removal.

Mr. Stump (Richard) in Clarkston is a rare find. My yard has a downward grade towards the backyard where the stump and the debris from the fallen tree was located. Richard was in my backyard within hours of my phone call in the rain to assess the job and called me immediately gave me his quote which he assured me would be the lowest quote I would receive. He apologized and explained that and the ground was getting soft from the thaw and recommended that we wait for the ground to dry a bit so he doesn’t damage the lawn. His competitors didn’t call me until later that day or not at all and then wanted me to describe the job over the phone to save them gas money and said the estimate may change once they see the job and there quote was already more than Richards. They had no clue about the soft ground and the damage they would have done to my lawn with their heavy machinery.

That night temperatures dropped below freezing and refroze the ground and the next morning I got a call from Richard asking if it would be OK to grind the stump on his way to another job providing the frozen ground would hold the wait of his machine. Not only did he grind the stump but he did extra work that his competitors wanted to charge extra to do and then he offered to help me move the fallen debris out of the backyard at no cost. A rare find Richard is truly a caring professional that just want’s an honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work and happy customers. Thank you Richard.

We had our tree cut down by a company. It was a package deal, which included stump removal. The problem was that we have had at least three different stump grinding companies come out to do the job, and they have all walked away from it due to the amount of the work versus the amount of money the tree company was willing to give the stump company. The tree stump was very large (an old Silver Maple), and the tree had a 12' by 20' area of thick surface roots. It was a monster of a job!



Rich from Mr. Stump was an answer to our prayers! He knew we were in a jam and agreed to work with us to get the job done. He did a very thorough job and came back a second time as promised (and in a very timely manner!) to hit some small spots that were missed due to the massive amount of wood chips from this job. Rich was very friendly. Thank you, Mr. Stump!

Great company must use for your stumps

IMPRESSED!!! 4 stumps from 50yr old trees, 2 of 4 planted within raised cement patio built around trees. Richard and Julie quickly assessed the job when 2 other stumpers said it could'nt be done. Richard handled the grinder without damage to patio,Julie kept debris from hitting house/trashing yard. Job appeared done,I was happy...but Richard continued to improve the grind on stumps/roots. He maneuvered

big machine around property like a gentle kitten. Richard & Julie were polite,caring & exceptionally dedicated to a perfect job! So often contractors give you the big sales pitch/promises & screw you in the end; Mr Stump is an honest business!!! So grateful for their professional ethic,integrity & job quality! We would recommend them in a heartbeat!!!
