Our kids have gone both to Metro's week-long camps and had private instruction. The coaches are positive, technically knowledgeable, good communicators, run efficient camps, and do a good job of balancing performance goals and having fun. The kids learned a lot and enjoyed themselves. More to the point, Metro gave our kids useful instruction that they could take home and use, things that really improve their game. I would particularly recommend Bob Hammitt, especially for younger players, but of the five coaches I can think of that have coached our kids, I can't think of one that wasn't a good hire.

The facility isn't perfect; it could have a little better set-up in terms of a place for parents to watch, but it suffices. The camps our kids have gone to have all been at Hoodview, and there has been plenty of room for all of the different activities and good areas from which parents can watch.

Keep researching other baseball programs in the Portland area. Coaches act like they don't want to be there and do not put in full effort working with the kids.

Save your money and look for a less expensive option. Just because it costs more does not mean it's better than the other baseball clubs around.
