Onion strings? ONION STRINGS? Who would have thought they would be so incredibly delicious. Move over Front Porch because there is a new Front runner in town...called Boulevard Bistro!

The welcoming decor reminds us of what vision is all about. Scrupulously clean, attention to every detail, no finger in the water glass here. This place has all the ambiance of an high end little Bistro that you could find tucked away on a Greenwich Village NYC street where an artisan sandwich goes for $30 How about lunch for two for under $20? Thats right folks, you read it right..under $20 ! Generous portions and every bite an experience. They hand pick their meat, grind it themselves and produce the juiciest and most flavorable burger Ive had in quite some time. They have a home-made slaw that was smacked with an apple producing this little bowl of sweet cabbage with big flavor...I wanted more. Their mac salad has plently of little surprises in there too !

Then there was The Ruben, over-sized, over-stuffed corned beef, cheesy goodness with their very own sauerkraut served up hot on a marble rye. Throw some of those onion strings on that plate and it doesnt get any better. Next trip...and there Will be a next trip I will try their signature dish of Chipolte beans over cilantro & lime rice. Did I mention the chocolate cake? You dont want to know about the chocolate cake..fresh fresh fresh, not overly sweet but oh so good and the perfect end to a great meal. This is the best meal i have had since moving to the area. We walked in at 3:50, only ten minutes to closing and were going to come back another time.Instead we were seated warmly by the staff. I had the best ruben i have ever had. And regardless of what you order,get the onion strings with it. incredible. Nicely decorated not expensive in fact very reasonable. The food should cost a lot more based on quality and taste. But its just very good, no excellent food. Look for the newest place to open in the Citrus Springs area to be there for many years to come...and i will see you there often.
