In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. Had breakfast here for Mothers Day. Our amazing server Kimberly was AWESOME! She gave us a courteous heads up, right off the bat, about how long the service may take due to the size of the crowd & she was very attentive the whole time. The food was great, the staff was efficient, & our service was impeccable.

The food is just ok. We waited over 30 minutes to be seated. They forgot a few things and had to bring it out separately.
