They did offer me a full refund. but i still wanted the bass so why would i send it back to buy it again for the same price... asked for a small discount and them to work with me. That did not happen
Problems in description: Japanese not canadian. I thought it was a single pickup model. it was not.
Extreme rattle: thought it was the trussrod but found the low e string wound wonky which they knew nothing of...luckilly a relatively easy fix.
Bass listed(advertized) falsely: marked as excellent condition, extreme damage covered up by a badly homemade pickguard, under the pick guard is atrocious and damaged neck through wood has been cut into and modified horrendously did i say it was marked as excellent all of the pot holes are mutilated, glue and glued on wood all over the body face. All original pickups/pots/ electronics missing, screw holes from the badly homemade pickguard and extreme damage caused by caveman aftermarket pickup installation. Stripped of almost all electronics replaced with utterly cheap electronics.
Not worth the 300 I paid. plus the 20 bucks they made off the high shipping charge($50) did i say it was marked as excellent?
Blamed on new employee. Do they not supervise new employees?
Marked as excellent for four months but they say they knew about all the condition problems. Either way there are integrity issues.
The employee i dealt with, did say it should have had a better description... There were no pics anywhere online of the extreme damage to the body face underneath the badly homemade pick guard. Could not tell the pickguard was even homemade from the pics.
a small discount(what i asked for) would have been sufficient all i got was excuses and NO discount.
The only negative reviews for Mikes Music in Cincinnati are separate from the main site(hmm) and they are telling. Beware before you buy. lesson learned will not buy from them again...overpriced for the condition seems to be the consensus of all the negative reviews online.
