Dillonvale IGA was opened in June 1981 when Kroger decided to move from the shopping center. Over the years there have been many changes at the Dillonvale IGA. The original store was 18, 000 sq feet and was in need of a major upgrade and repair. When we had our grand opening the store had been completely remodeled with a new floor, d cor package and new equipment. Since that day we have done three expansions and three major remodels. The store is now almost 26, 000 sq feet and has the variety of a big store with the small store atmosphere. Although Dillonvale IGA is smaller in size, we have always been a leader in technological advancements. Dillonvale IGA has always invested in the latest technology and just recently was the first independent supermarket in Cincinnati to offer Self Scanning to their customers. Quality has always been number one at Dillonvale IGA. Our Meat Department offers Choice Angus Pride Beef, our Deli Department has Boars Head products, our Produce Department offers only top quality produce and we have the best Salad Bar in the city. Dillonvale IGA has won many awards over the years but in 1999 we were selected as one of the top five IGA stores out of 4, 400 IGAs and the owner, Mark Ossege was awarded International Retailer of The Year. In 2008 Dillonvale IGA was awarded the Ohio Pinnacle as best single store independent in Ohio. These awards were achieved by a lot of hard work and the dedication of a very loyal group of employees. Dillonvale IGA would not be where it is today without the dedication of a very loyal group of employees. Dillonvale IGA has been blessed with some of the best employees in the industry. All IGA stores are inspected four times a year by a third party company that looks at sanitation, food safety, marketing, employee programs, cleanliness and overall store operation. Dillonvale IGA has achieved the highest possible score of 5 Stars nine out of the last ten years. This accomplishment puts Dillonvale IGA in the top 5% of all stores in the United States.
