I was very disappointed. The surgery went well but after 2 years I am having horrible problems. R Breast is rippled and I have horrible pain. I am still paying them off. I think I am going to another doctor to see if they can fix my problem. I am embarrassed that I let him work on me. Should have saved the money and gone to Dr Richard Williams who did my sisters. He was wonderful.

I went to Dr. Mark Handler for my surgery four years ago and I also am now getting a redo. He has no bedside manners and is very rude and cocky. The day of my surgery I told him that I wanted a C cup. I ended up with a DD cup with a size 2 waste at that time. During my recovery I had a lot of pain that I was concerned about, when I called he told me if I was hurting go to the ER theres nothing he could do. I did research prior to my procedure and they had nothing bad on him. I also asked 1800beyourbest if there has been any complaints on him and she said no. I lived 5 hours from him office and the moring of my post op visit he didn't come in the office (office closed) due to the weather. I never recieved a call for CA of my apointment. I called his office number and answering service answered and I asked if they were open she said no. I was mad they didn't bother calling and telling me they weren't open. I told her about driving all the way there for my appointment can I talk to the dr. She was also rude and said ""got for you"" about me driving all the wahy there. Finally she got the Dr. on the phone and he said there is nothing he could do. I then asked If i get a hotel room for the night could I be worked in the next day and he told me that I would have to call the office the nex morning and see if he has an opening. It would have only taken 5 min. and he didn't care or wouldn't let me reschdule. I talked to 800beyourbest tosee if someone could resch. me and talked to Kim and they didn't care either. Please dodn't go through this co. of DR. It may be cheaper but in the long run it will cost you more pain and $$$$$$ in the long run.

He is a hacker for sure. I had my surgery 2 years ago and went through the financing and after many times of questioning him about why my inplalants feel funny on the bottom, are now sagging, and are loosing size he contines to say "" I think they look fine"" well than if you think they look good you can pay them off because I'm not. I have stopped all payments to the finance company and now that he is retiring and obviously isnt going to do anything about it.I have since moved and will get them redone this year by a real doctor.

I've just read all the reviews and am shocked. I too had implants done by Dr. Handler. My experience
wasn't quite as bad as most, but now thinking back alot rings true from the other women. I told Dr. Handler I wanted ""full C"" cup size. I ended up with D cups, I feel way too big for my size 4 frame. Maybe I could live with that, but after the swelling subsided, my nipples are off center of my breasts and one is noticeably higher than the other. Also had bags removed under eyes. There's a scar underneath one eye that looks exactly like the bag he removed. He said that is a scar. Well, yes I know that, but what is the point of removing the bag if the scar takes it's place!! I checked his credentials before retaining him and everything looked on the up and up. No complaints on his Board certification. Maybe we should each file our own complaints with the Plastic Surgery Board that certifies surgeons. In any event, I was going to go back to him to have him fix the issues, but NOT NOW! I'll find a COMPETENT surgeon in Columbus. There must be a way to stop this guy!

First of all ladies, please DO NOT use him, this is a very important decision, you may be the 1 in 100 being satified, but do you want to be the 99th disatified. I talked about doing this type of surgery for a while, I saw in magazines, and on TV a company called BE YOUR BEST COSMETIC, a referral company, that finds doctors I found out later to basically fill there open schedule. There is not enough for me to go into detail, but he is terrible with bed side manners, and if you are not happy, it is your fault, he will tell you there is nothing else he can do for you, he does not CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR FEELINGS, go to other doctors, and stay away from this BE YOUR BEST COSMETIC, they do not follow up, or do what they say either, you are a number, and the bottom line is they only care about MONEY. Have more than 1 consultation with Dr. Handler, and pay very close to his demeanor, and how short he is with you, and he really does not care to hear your opion, or what you think. Ladies this is a big step, and your bodies, YOU WILL REGRET IT, if it is the money thing, wait, remember you get what you pay for, not what you want. I feel as if the referral company was doing a cattle call now, and I went to a slaughter house to be butchered.

10/09/08-I am 30 years old, and my whole adult life knew that I would one day get breast implants. I was an A cup before my surgery. I finally decided to go through with it this year. A friend of mine referred me to Dr Hanlder. He had done her implants, and a few friends of hers. I went in for a consultation in June of 2008. Although I didn't get the ""warm fuzzies"" from Dr Handler, he seemed to know what he was talking about as far as doing the surgery to my expectations. I decided to schedule the surgery. I had my surgery on September 22, 2008. The whole experience was as smooth as it could possibly be. I came out of the surgery very pleased. I've had my implants for about 3 weeks, and so far I am completely happy with the results. Dr Handler had me back to work in two weeks with NO problems. I just wanted to write a good review for him, because to read all of these reviews, he sounds like an animal. I do sympathize with these girls bad experiences, but I wanted someone looking into seeing him to know, that although he may not be the most personable Dr you will ever meet, he is a good plastic surgeon, in my opinion.
Follow up from original review: I am now coming up on my one year anniversary of my breast augmentation. Just wanted to say I could not have been happier with my implants. After a year, they look GREAT!!! They are so natural that most people (unless they knew me before) don't even know they're fake. I get so many compliments on them. Dr Handler did a great job, and I wish him a happy retirement!

In 1996 I went to Handler for a breast reduction procedure. During my initial consultation I was somewhat bothered by his persistent attempt to get me to agree to reduce from DD cup to C instead of what I wanted, which was a B cup. I'm only 5'3"" and wanted to be proportuned better, in addition to relief from back/shoulder pain. Just before going under, I reminded him I didn't want large breasts.
I was shocked to discover after my surgery... AA sized, highly misaligned/mis-shapened nipples, and surgical cuts/stitches side-t-side from way under my arms all the way to meet in the middle of my chest! I felt like I had been butchered (and could relate to mascetomy victims).
After weeks of having him (lie) tell me my apparently flat breasts would eventually drop and become the B size I desired, got another plastic surgeon's second opinion about this ""botched"" augmentation. Then I consulted a lawyer. I was told by the lawyer I'd most likely NOT win since this was elective surgery and that I in fact, did get smaller breasts as I requested!
I went back to Handler and told him I'd spoken with a lawyer but I didn't say what the lawyer told me. Handler agreed to correct his mistake with implants, and fix the nipples at the same time at no additional charge to me. Handler assured me he would fix everything and also told me the implants should last 20 years or so based on his experience. I felt I had no other choice but to agree and allowed him to do the corrective surgery.
I've had to live with ugly scars and weird-shaped breasts for 11 years now. Now I'm facing costly replacement suregury. My saline implant has shifted and/or has a very slow leak causing an incessant burning/itching sensation. I'm hoping my new docter (Dr. Jean Loftus) will be able to give me the breasts I've always wanted.
Bottom Line: I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND MARK B. HANDLER FOR EVEN REMOVING A SPLITTER, MUCH LESS DO ANY PLASTIC SURGERY.

I was also butchered by a plastic surgeon, and looking for another. I am so glad to hear all the horrible stories about Dr. Handler, or is he actually a doctor? Has he had any sanctions against him, because he certainly should not be practicing plastic surgery. I am so glad I have read the reviews. He should get out of this business, he has ruined a lot of lives! I was actually thinking of contacting him to fix the problem my plastic surgeon created, but not now. I thank everyone who has responded, maybe this will save other people from experiencing these horrible treatments!

I went to this office for a consult for replacing old implants, doesn't seem so bad right? Just replacement.......That's what I thought too. I proceeded with my surgery, I couldn't come out of the anesthesia, I left the hospital with my head hanging over the back of the wheel chair, and I couldn't open my eyes. In so much pain, I wanted someone to shoot me in the head! I ended up with implants that were FAR to large for my body, in a totally opposite procedure than what I had discussed with the doctor. I was in so much pain that I was off of work for two months. I too ended up with an infection, when they took my stitches out, and the Doctor said ""UH, OH!!"" What kind of bedside manor is that? Then, because my implants were too large, after a period of time, they shredded my chest muscle, and fell through the skin! That's right! They fell OUT!! That is NOT a TYPO.......... The implants fell OUT OF MY BODY!!! Right through the skin! After the mess I had already dealt with with this guy, I proceeded to go to another surgeon, and it took four surgeries to correct the mess I had from this one very simple procedure. After the first corrective surgery I found out that I still had the same 15 year old implants in there which were suppose to be replaced and that they were severely overfilled, and one was actually placed in there sideways! They were supposed to be above the muscle and Dr. Handler had placed them under the muscle. This man is a butcher! Again, it took four surgeries to correct the mess that Dr. Handler made of me. It also took 19 months away from my life, because I could no longer use my chest muscles for anything, which unfortunately included using my arms, and in a lot of instances, my BACK! Not to mention I have 35,000 dollars less, in my bank account! So, beware, see more than one surgeon! Some screw ups can't be fixed even by the best!!

This was the absolute WORST experience I have ever been through. My left brest is still VERY numb and my procedure was 05/06. I experience shooting pains on a daily basis. I went to Dr. Handlers office several times with complaint and he made it seem as though these pains were all in my head. I went to a second doctor (much more professional) and she couldn't believe my line of symmetry. PLEASE take this into consideration before allowing Dr. Handler to handle you!!! It's not worth it! I should have stayed an a cup

Hi, I have a consultation for breast augmentation coming up and I am really nervous about it. Especially because of some of the reviews of his work. I'm having second thoughts but as one of the previous posters said this doctor is the only one in Cincinnati with the financing company I'm going through also. And I can't afford to pay for the surgery straight out with another doctor.

Dr. Mark handler is a genuine QUACK! I am convinced he received his medical license from a box of Cracker Jacks. I went into his office as a first timer to plastic surgery believing he knew what he was doing. Boy was I wrong. I was charged for a lift and breast implants and came out with severely uneven and overfilled breasts. During surgery he actually sewed into one of the implants, thus causing a rupture! One week after my surgery I realized something was gravely wrong. I spoke to him and voiced concerns that one of my breasts seemed to be deflating and I didn't know why. Dr. Handler suggested that I be scheduled for an MRI, and that I should check with MY INSURANCE to see if it was covered. I said ""No, that would only confirm what we already know; there was a rupture."" He agreed that there was a rupture, and told me he couldn't do anything about it for 90 days; and sent me home.
All trust in him had vanished and I decided to get a 2nd and 3rd opinion; which I told him. Dr. Handler acted very arrogant, and cocky, he had endless excuses; all of which never focused blame upon any of his actions during or after surgery. I was furious and I honestly felt disfigured. Dr. Handler didn't seem to care less.
Thank God I found a reputable Plastic surgeon ( Dr. Martin) who fixed his mess! Ladies do not make the mistake of going under the knife with Dr. Handler! This has been the worst nightmare I have ever been through!

This has been a nightmare!!!! Had to go back twice to correct his mistake, then left with horrible scars, emotionally and physically. Went to get a post-op second opinion and was told I looked better BEFORE the surgery. I was treated like it was MY issue that my body has been mangled. Office staff was rude when I asked why I wasn't called when I showed up for my appointment and Mark Handler was out of town. I was lied to and told the staff tried to call me, but no record of such etiquette. He's not registered with the State of Ohio Medical Board. His breath smelled of alcohol the morning of my surgery. Don't let this guy touch you!!!!

Dr. Handler was my 3rd consultation for Breast Aug. I had seen two doctors in my home city, but was uneasy; even with the doctor I had a deposit with. I went to see him, a 2 hour drive, just to try another city. Right from the first minute I was completely comfortable with him. I'd known for 20 years that if I wanted breasts I'd have to buy them. I'd been doing research and I knew that he was the doctor for me. He did an absolutely PERFECT job. My SO and I are thrilled with the results. From the moment that I walked out of the surgery center it was obvious that he knew exactly what he was doing.

It has been 13 weeks since the rhinoplasty. Wanted a more narrow and smaller nose. Absolutely no one, including myself can tell that anything was done. Very disappointed. Even if it gets a little less narrow..it is still a big nose..oh..did I mention it is still very, very numb. I would gladly keep a numb nose if the operation had been worth the money, pain and all. but IT IS NOT. Thank you Dr. Handler.
