I have rented several times from Enterprise Rent-A-Car on the Esplanade in Chico, CA. The staff are routinely very helpful and upbeat. The reservations I have made were always kept and cars were available when I arrived. The cars are very well maintained and clean. They will at least make an attempt to sell you an insurance policy. It's easy enough to decline, if you choose to do so. Returns are also hassle free. There are a few items I would like to point out. 1) The selection of vehicles tends to center on a basic car. Very few vans, pickups or custom vehicles. 2) There are two driveways into the business. The one off of Menlo Way is incredibly steep. Drive slow or you will scrape your front bumper. 3) They don't typically fill up the gas tank before you rent. My last rental had 3/8 of a tank. So the first place I had to go was a gas station. Upon return the vehicle has to have at least as much as when you picked it up. It just makes that whole process more complicated. Nobody wants to have put more gas into the vehicle than they used.
Overall, my experience with this company is a very good one, and I can readily recommend them if you are in need of a car rental.

First time renting a car.I decided to go with enterprise..the staff.and overall experience was great from the vehicle selection to the very end of return .highly recommend

Reserved a intermediate car over a week ago. Website states that this car seats 5 and has more room for luggage then a compact or economy sized car. Also all example cars have 4 doors. It was supposed to be a huyandi eantra or Toyota corolla or similar. Went to enterprise to pick it up, and they brought out a huyandi veloster. This car is a 4 seater ( only 2 seats in back with a built-in cup holder) 3 door sport coupe. We are traveling with our kids, and there is no way at all we would fit. Enterprise stated it's the only car they have available, and this tiny thing is considered an intermediate car!! Had to cancel the reservation and our trip!! There's no possible way we could fit in this car! Called 2 other enterprise offices and the enterprise cooperation and was told by all the veloster is normally considered a compact car. The chico store has terrible customer service!! I'm really really upset with them and my ruined vacation.. Happy birthday to me :(

The Enterprise crew is always so nice, cheerful, and helpful. They get me in and out and on my way with a great comfortable car. I definitely recommend this company for your next rental needs. Alba, Hector, and the rest of the team at the Esplanade office are awesome!
