Ora blew me away fro the moment I entered the office. I felt like I walked into a spa. The office is nicely decorated, eco friendly, clean, and smells great! The front desk staff was warm and friendly from beginning to end. They are very thorough and helpful with any information you need. The surgical assistants were friendly as well. His office is fully staffed which is a plus. That made me even more comfortable knowing that he has all bases covered. Dr. Koos.... where do I begin... He greeted me with a smile, introduced himself, and took the time to get know me and hear my concerns. I had a couple of traumatic experiences with oral surgery prior to coming to this office. I was assured this was going to be very pleasant and I would be well taken care of and that I was. He also explained everything I needed to know and answered every question I had prior to surgery. I left out of surgery feeling better than I did walking in. There was an assistant with me at all times until discharge and Dr. Koos called me himself that evening to make sure I was doing well. AMAZING!!! I will recommend Ora Oral Surgery and Implant Studio to anyone who is in need of an oral surgeon!! THANKS AGAIN FOR A BREATH TAKING EXPERIENCE! I need though I would say that about a dental visit... You guys ROCK!

My visit to ORA was the best experience that I've ever had at a dental office. The staff there was very comforting and nice. Dr. Koos was amazing he explained everything to me in detail. On the day of surgery everything went perfectly. What really tugged at my heart was that Dr.Koos called me that night after surgery to check on me. I do not know any doctor that has ever did that. Well it's 1month Post surgery and every thing is healing great. I will recommend and have recommended ORA to family and friends. ORA is top notch in my book.

Like probably most people, Iâm not too fond of dental visits. However, Dr. Koos was exceptional! I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted, and I was surprised by how calm I was before the procedure. Dr. Koos explained everything in advance, and walked me through what would happen and what I should expect. He was also very considerate in answering all my questions and following up after the procedure. There was hardly any pain involved after the procedure, and the healing time was fast. In addition, the facility is beautiful, clean, and modern! I highly recommend him!

Summary: - All they care about is your money and they will use a lot of sales tactic to reel you in. - If you have money to splurge, then this is the right place for you. If you want to ensure the your money is reasonably spent, then I recommend avoiding this place at all cost.- I take really good care of my teeth, brush 2x/day and floss before bed. I avoid lots of sweet and eat pretty darn healthy. I've been a year without a cleaning. They said my teeth were super bad and that my bones underneath the gum line is below standard. I lost a lot of bones 6 years ago, of course my gum line is below standard. They blamed it on my teeth being in a bad condition without asking the history of my teeth. Shouldn't a dental office grasp as much historical information on my teeth before coming to such a conclusion? The good:1) Very glamorous place, have TV's in the dental room, nice ambience. The bad:1) I refused to have an x-ray, but the hygienist said that it's required or else they cannot give me a cleaning. So I accepted it. (It's a fair statement to get an xray, but that was my orange flag). $50 bucks for the cheapest x-ray, which I requested for.2) The hygienist recommended a scaling (deep cleaning), and said that they will not do a cleaning unless I get a scaling first. I told them that all I want is a cleaning and they keep trying to sell me to get a deep cleaning. I refused and she leaves.3) The business manager comes in and tries to convince me to get a scaling. She says that she's been a medical assistant for 12 years, etc, and that she recommends a scaling. She really cares for my health and it matters a lot to her, she feels for me. To me: no sincerity on her face, straight up a sales tactic. I refused and she leaves.4) The dentist (Dr. Kralj) comes in and gives more of a lecture on why I should get a scaling. He told me to lay down so that he can look at my teeth. He gave me a literal 15 seconds or less, checking up on my teeth. I opened my mouth, he poked a few teeth, and that is it. I told them the reason why I refused scaling was both money and I didn't think a scaling was necessary. He said he'll reduce the cost by %20 per quadrant and leaves. 5) The business manager comes in with a new pricing and assumes I accepted it. I interrupted her and said, I didn't want it. I finally decided to walk out with my xray copies.6) When I went to the front counter to pay the fees, $100 bill. $50 bucks for the xrays and additional $50 cuz the dentist poked around my teeth for less than 15 seconds, without telling me that I got charged for that. Wasted 45 minutes of my time..Conclusion: They keep saying they care for my health, etc. But honestly, the vibe I got is that they wanted a revolving customer and my money. I felt so pressured into accepting their decision as if I had no choice of my own. They keep holding me there, trying to negotiate a price to have me take the service they wanted to give me. All I wanted was a simple cleaning. I ended leaving the place dropping $100, with nothing accomplished. I could have went to a dinky dentist and paid $75 out of pocket. If they want to be a business with integrity and ethics, they should fire the business manager, stop using their sales ethic, and stop forcing patients to do what ORA wants. I felt like I was talking to a car salesman combined with a pyramid scheme type recruiter. This is the worse medical experience I have ever encountered in my life.

Provided by YP.comAs Dr.Koos Employee and patient as well, I have only wonderful things to say about him. He extracted all my four wisdom teeth on saturday and as I walked into the surgery room, I was terrifed about the procedure, but the entire time the surgical assistant were amazing and very attentive and Dr. Koos was very detailed about what he was going to do. After going home he was checking on me, making sure I was ok and that I was following all the post surgery instructions. It was an amazing experience and now I can go back to work and be able to tell all the patients how great Dr. Koos is and that I know because of patient experience.

Dr. Steven Koos is extraordinary! He is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who in my opinion is the best oral surgeon in Chicago. I was there to have a wisdom teeth extraction and three molar extraction. With every extraction he used anesthesia which kept me at easy and comfortable. Ora is always and beautiful inside it shocked me completely when I found out it was complete green. I thank Dr. Koos for everything.

Provided by YP.comI have now had my third procedure with Dr. Koos. These involved several teeth that were removed first, then some sinus lifting and grafting and a dental implant and now another dental implant behind the other one. The procedures went smoothly and so did my several recovery periods. I thought the upper left back molar area was not salvageable for me because that is what I was told, and that I would be forced to chew food for the rest of my life on my right side or end up with a partial denture. A few other specialists told me that they really couldn't do anything to give me permanent teeth in back because I had too much bone loss. Well I am really lucky that I researched online and didn't settle with who I was initially referred to and what they told me. I wound up finding ORA Surgery & Implant Studio. I am going to be getting teeth again and I am thrilled that they are not the kind that I have to take out at night, which would make me feel much older than I really am. Dr. Koos did a wonderful job and guided me through the whole process and has worked closely with my dentist, who since working with him now refers all his patients to Dr. Koos. He is soft-spoken and patient, kind and really listens, all are qualities difficult to find in a doctor nowadays. He is definitely at the top of his field. Thank You Dr. Koos for everything!

So this was my third procedure now with Dr. Steven Koos. Some teeth extracted first, then some bone grafting and a dental implant and now another implant. The procedures went super smoothly with the added comfort of sedation too. I thought the upper left back molar area was a lost cause for me and that I would be forced to chew food for the rest of my life on my right side. A few other periodontists told me that they really couldn't do anything to give me permanent teeth in back because of too much bone loss. Well I am so glad that I researched online and didn't wind up with who I was initially referred to. I went for a final opinion to ORA Oral Surgery & Implant Studio. I am going to be getting teeth again and I am tickled that they are not the ones you take out at night! Dr. Koos did a great job of walking me through the process and has worked closely with my dentist. He is soft-spoken,respectful and really listens and cares, all are qualities difficult to find wrapped in one

I did struggle with some “extraction anxiety” at first but after some clear answers and guidance by Dr. Koos and his staff, my reservations quickly dissolved. The extraction was both quick and painless, even though it was a difficult tooth to pull out. I think I was in and out of the office within about 30 to 45 minutes and all I took for the pain after was Ibuprofen. The site healed quickly and I experienced no complications. Two weeks ago I came back to Dr. Koos for the implant. That procedure took about the same length of time if not shorter and was performed under local anesthetic like the first (I elected local, was offered full sedation). Again the procedure was quick and painless. There was some pressure associated with the drilling and implant insertion to the implant site but there was no pain. Again I only needed Ibuprofen for a few days post-op. I have recommended ORA Oral Surgery & Implant Studio and Dr. Steven Koos to all my friends and family.

Like most people I'm not fond of getting any surgeries done and have been avoiding seeing an oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Koos extracted three of my wisdom teeth at the same time, and what I thought would be a very unpleasant experience turned out to be just the opposite. My recovery was very quick and I barely had to take any pain killers. Dr. Koos leads a great team that is very professional and efficient. If you need your wisdom teeth removed or any other oral surgery ORA is the BEST place to be. Keep up the good work!!!

Provided by YP.comThe doctor in this office was one of the friendliest and nicest I've ever been to. He was very friendly and kind and was supported by an as friendly and helpful staff. The office was clean, cozy and made me feel really comfortable, and not like in a dentist office.
I had my wisdom teeth taken out by the doctor. The sedation process was really soothing, as it was quiet and I even got to pick my own music to get put to sleep to. The process was short and painless, and I had no problems whatsoever afterwards. The doctor also helped me with some jaw-problems I've been having for a while.
Overall, the doctor was very informative, and he explained everything to me, so I felt like I was in really good care. How nice he was, I can only stress again and it's also nice to have a doctor with whom you can laugh, too.

I have had problems with my jaw for a long time. Very quickly after coming to Dr. Koos' office, my problem was solved. The doctor was very friendly and kind, as was the staff. The facilities were very tidy and very calming and relaxing, which I found especially nice since I don't like going to the dentist AT ALL.I also had my wisdom teeth taken out by the doctor. The procedure was pleasant and it was over with before I knew it. No pain, no anxiety - everything was taken care of.Very cool doctor with whom you can also have a laugh with when he's not checking out your teeth/jaw! :)

I'm kind of a nature geek so when I was looking for a dental office I made a point to find one that at least kept the environment in mind, and man was I happy when I found these guys! The problem I usually have with eco-friendly doctors is that they almost always try to make their offices feel "homely" and stuff, but it ends up looking like the office of a witch doctor, not of a certified oral surgeon. At this place they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable but do it in a clean, modern way that I've never seen before. The procedure itself went very smooth. I had my wisdom teeth removed, Dr. Koos walked me through everything and let me know what I should expect, so when they put me to sleep I wasn't scared at all! I'm not the kind of person that has no problem going under the knife, but the atmosphere was so relaxing that I just forgot to be scared! Ora is hands down the best dentist I've been to, and the fact that they are so eco-friendly is the icing on the cake!

Ok, so just because I work in the dental office doesn't mean I want to have oral surgery done or any surgery for that matter. Actually I dread any surgery because I get very sick from the anesthesia when I wake up and this was a big concern before deciding to let Dr. Koos put me under. Well I am happy to say after two surgeries with Dr. Koos both couldn't have gone any smoother. Surgery one I had to have my wisdom teeth and two baby molars removed. Surgery two I had to have two implants placed with bone grafting and for both surgeries I didn't get sick and the recovery was fast. Dr. Koos and his staff did an excellent job and I would recommend them to anybody I know and love!!!

Provided by YP.comI had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Koos. There is no doctors office that compares with Ora Studios, and no doctor like Dr. Koos. The office itself is gorgeous, beyond a five star hotel. In tandem with the office environment is incredible skill and bedside mannor - I have never heard anyone refer to their wisdom tooth surgery as easy, pleasant and comfortable except for myself and any of the other patients who have gone to Dr. Koos. He makes you feel as though you are his only patient and he makes sure you feel at ease and all your questions are answered before and after surgery. I felt comfortable coming to him with little questions even weeks after. The effects were as if I never had the surgery. All I had to do was ice the area for a couple days - I had no swelling and no pain. Before the surgery I was given laughing gas and felt nothing. I awoke in an unimaginably comfortable recovery area with incredible service. I was given a Vicodin prescription for the upcoming days but all I needed was Ibuprofin. I HIGHLY recommend this office and doctor - people I know look back on their wisdom teeth experience with fear, pain and regret and I think of it as easy and comfortable.

When I think of my experience at Ora and with Dr. Koos, I am so happy. Not often you hear that about a wisdom teeth extraction, right? I had all four of my widsom teeth taken out and there is no doctors office or surgeon that comes close. The office itself is beyond gorgeous and modern, and in tandem with the environment is incredible skill and bedside mannor. Dr. Koos made my widsom teeth experience pleasant, easy, and far from painful effects. He made me feel as though I was his only patent and made sure I was at ease and all my questions were answered not only before surgery but for quite some time afterward. The effects I had were as if I had never had the surgery - in fact it was nice, al I had to do was ice the area for a few days: I had no swelling or pain. Before the surgery I was given laughing gas and felt nothing, and after I had a Vicodin script but only needed Ibuprofin. I highly recommend this office and doctor! No comparison.
