The Cook County Government governs the office of Cook County Public Administrator. It provides comprehensive investigative and estate administrative services for people who die in Cook County intestate (without a will), or where there is no person in Illinois with the right or desire to administer the estate. The office of Public Administrator auctions houses, condos, co-ops, multi-flats and sometimes even commercial properties.
