I am not one to do online reviews, but I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience with the Oreck repair center. I dropped my vacuum cleaner off for a repair on Friday and was told it would be approximately 5 days for an estimate. I received a call today informing me that my vacuum was ready for pick-up with no mention of the status of the repair. I asked why I wasn't contacted regarding the estimate for repair and was told that the parts needed to repair my vacuum cleaner were no longer available. I paid $35 for an estimate, but the machine couldn't even be repaired. I did not receive an estimate, but was still charged for the price of an estimate. I feel I should be refunded this amount since the service I paid for was not provided. Also, I feel like the representative on the phone should have told me that my vacuum cleaner could not be repaired initially rather than stating it was "ready for pick-up" which implies that a repair was done. She did not elaborate until I asked follow-up questions. Very unprofessional.
