I have taken my "creatures" to this clinic for 14 plus years. My first experiences with Dr. Carl Baker & Dr. Kevin Hennessy were for a "second opinion" after my "Trooper" received less that adequate care at a well-known clinic in Huntington, WV. Unfortunately, it was too late for much to be done. Trooper was quite old & surgical intervention could not guarantee a recovery. I have received a sympathy card each time one of my pets have crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. The staff has always been kind & sympathetic. If Dr. Hennessy treated human patients, I would entrust my care to him without a second thought.

While this practice is lacking to some degree in "people skills", I found that they were quite effective in treating my pets. My last dog had been to several (some extremely expensive) other vets to try to resolve a chronic ear condition over a 5 year span. It was not until I brought him to this vet clinic that the issue was finally properly diagnosed and treated. I have had no problems with the treatment my current pets have received. There is no sugar-coating to diagnoses, which is fine with me as long as my animals get the proper treatment. I also feel this vet (especially compared to some my pets have seen in the past) is very affordable. I would recommend this vet to anyone. Just don't expect to get the "warm fuzzies" when you take your pet in. In my previous experience, the "warm fuzzies" come with an additional cost, either poor treatment or a much lighter wallet.
