Ate here for dinner on a Thursday night. The whole place was empty except for one older couple who left by the time we ordered. I wasn't expecting much at all, yet was still greatly disappointed at the food. I ordered a side order of pizza fries and the dinner special of sirloin with mushrooms and onions with chicken matzah ball soup, string beans and macaroni salad and apple pie for dessert. Let me tell you just how not a sirloin this was. It was not a sirloin, it was a big burger patty. Not only was this not a sirloin but it was also tasteless and the mushrooms on top were rubber. The soup was meh, the string beans also meh, and the macaroni salad was meh, too. Not that I expected much. But I did expect the pie to be warmed up to either hot or room temp and not straight out of the fridge. Lastly, the pizza fries were nothing special, something I would make at home with no imagination, just fries on a plate with a splash of tomato paste and cheese on top and then nuked in a microwave to melt the cheese. I really regret not getting a sandwich or going to Ponzio's.

Won't Honor Their Own Coupons



I “purchased” a coupon to Herman’s Deli through my points from Recycle Bank. The coupon was for the Deli only. No problem. Upon entering the store, I went to left, toward the deli rather than the right for the restaurant. There, I ordered several deli sandwiches for my entire family.



When I went to the register to pay, the cashier said that sandwiches were considered “restaurant take-out” not “deli” despite being ordered on the deli side of Herman’s.



I spent a significant amount, but they couldn’t honor a tiny $2 coupon? Talk about cheap! I won’t EVER go back despite how conveniently located they are for me.

I went here once with a friend and let me tell you this place was something! The lunchmeat is absolutely fresh and is cut in the perfect size. I like the establishment it appeared clean and well lighted. My gf had been trying to get me to visit there for years. I am happy that I did!! I recommend you check it out.
