I had my Driveway done 3 yrs ago by KIDCO. John preached a good story on how he'd warranty this driveway for 5 yrs or longer since he know's how good he builds driveways. Two yrs later my driveway started to crack and I called he asked to wait a year that was in 2007. So this year I called him in May to get him to fix them especially now since the cracks were getting worse. It took me several calls before I got him since he wouldn't call me back. Promised he be over that week to look at it and never showed. Called him again and again over the next several months to when I finally got him in and once again he promised to be over and fix it right..... NOTHING more empty promises with this guy. Sounds sincere but never follows through then in Sept started the calls once again finally got frustrated and used a new cell number and he calls me right back, of course I had to tell him I was interested in a driveway which was true----MINE and getting it fixed.... tells you something about this guy doesn't it.... thought it was new business was a little surprised , apologized with excuses, promised once again he would fix it. Said he looked over the job and couldn't understand what was wrong but he would fix it he's a man of his words.. Well here we are a month later and nothing once again. Called him and nothing, last time I expressed my displeasure since I gave him the entire summer to come good on his promise. I also explained that I'm aware that the season for repairing the problem was much longer with winter approaching. NOTHING, called left messages and finally just gave up. I guess that is what he wanted for the beginning. Sorry I finally couldn't wait for snow to fall so I picked up some stuff to fill the cracks and I'll do it myself. I didn't pick him to do my driveway because he was the cheapest. I got 1/2 dozen quotes and he was middle of the line. He had done some work for my sister and the guy seemed sincere about his work. I guess the jokes on me he's sincere in only getting paid anything that cost him back he only provides lip service. Sad thing is that my brother and several other friends had there driveways done over the last several months and the only thing I told them is don't waste your time calling KIDCO..... I hope with this tough economy he's one of the first to take the hit in business. I know I'll make sure everyone that nknows me knows never to go to KIDCO for any driveway work in the future.
