This was hands down one of the worst HVAC installs we've ever had at our home. The business owner, Eric Stone, is also the installer who shows up with 2-3 other guys. We got a bid. He did the install. Did bait n' switch on equipment, reused old components, lines, and equipment, which we specifically asked him not to do as we were quoted for entirely brand new equipment and components. He charges 60 % up front and tells you that he's quoting you worst case scenario on the price of the install but will probably be cheaper. He then hits you with a bill more expensive than what he quotes you even after he reuses old equipment and doesn't install half of the items in his quote! He did such a botched job of the install we ended up having all of his stuff removed and replaced by a reputable company with real warranty and guarantees on the work for 10 years. Save your money with this guy! He's not cheap but does cheap work and down right lies about what he's installing. We have botched ceiling vents. Improperly installed equipment, over-sized units for our house, water leaking from our attic, missing equipment, and no return plenums!!! Furthermore, when we tried to get the owner to rectify his mistakes, he literally cursed at us. He got really nasty when asked about the permits not being pulled. Then we found out that he had lied about having his license to work in GA and couldn't even pull the permits if he wanted to nor could he legally fix any of his mistakes. At that point, we fired him, asked him politely to come get his equipment and refund the 60% he demanded up front. That's when he really got nasty. Instead of doing right by us, the consumer, this guy cut every corner he could to pocket as much profit at our expense. If you hire this guy, DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY UP-FRONT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. DO NOT PAY HIM CASH. You will need all the help you can get when trying to get this guy to fix any mistakes or to actually complete the work he was hired to do. Have all work inspected before you ever pay him a penny! Test out all equipment for at least a week and check to make sure that he actually installed what he said he would install especially the emergency heat strips. Also, make sure that he actually connected the heat strips at the thermostat to work (red wire if you remove the face plate.) Our emergency heat was purposefully left disconnected for some reason on both units that he installed. We don't normally write reviews on most stuff we get done, good or bad, but this botched install and degree of deception when dealing with this guy was such a bad experience that we felt that we should warn others. Trust me when I say that he'd rather file a lien against your house or whatever you own rather than fix his mistakes or replace malfunctioning/or improperly sized or improperly installed equipment because it costs him $20 to file a lien, which is far cheaper than doing right by the customer. Be very wary of this company! Be safe and go with a more professional and honest company that stands by their work and equipment. He also threatened us with a lawsuit if we actually spoke up and told anyone about what he did. Like I said earlier, just go with another company. His company phone is wrong on this website, fyi. The address of his business is correct, however.
