They are overpriced and unprofessional. I needed material added to 2 shirts, I had to pay ($71) for adding material under the sleeve of 2 shirts, I was also asked to pay in advance. When I went back to pick up my order, 1 week later as I was told. The first thing I noticed, while waiting to be served, no other clients (white American) were made to pay in advance, I wonder if it was because I'm an African American? Secondly, they couldn't find my order, they finally found it on the floor under some hanging clothes. They told me to come back at 3pm which was such an inconvenience for me. I also questioned the cost; she gave me $15 back. African American do not spend your money with this business, we are treated differently. When will things change?

The owner of Magic Alterations is amazing! She did a perfect job altering my gown for my wedding. The lace appliqué along the bottom had to be removed, then the gown shortened and the appliqué had to be resewn onto the dress. She also took in the bust so perfectly you would never have known it was touched! She was also creative. I had her create a bustle for me, and instead of adding ties, she used pearl buttons to attach the small loops on the train. It fit the style of the dress perfectly, and made it look like they belonged there. I highly recommend Magic Alterations for all your wardrobe needs, even for very special occasions!
