On Nov. 14, 2018 I bought a custom leather recliner and paid in full $1883.74. I was told that the delivery would be 6 to 8 weeks. I received the recliner around 1/16/19 and the back was defective. On 1/16/19 we returned the chair to Vic, the repair person, who told us the chair back would be back in 3 weeks. After the 3 weeks I called multiple times to check on the recliner, each time being promised that someone would return my call. After the fourth time, I reached someone named Carolyn, who actually was helpful and had the manager, Bob, call me back, promising me that the chair would be back no later than the end of February. On February 25, I called and spoke with Vic, the repair person, who told me that the chair was down for delivery on March 1. I asked if this was guaranteed delivery because I would be out of town and he said that there was no way of knowing because the place that was replacing the back of the chair had not received the leather yet. March 5, I received a call that my chair would be delivered on March 6. When the chair arrived, the back had missing velcro on both sides where flaps attach to the chair. The delivery person, Patrick (who was the only bright side of this whole process), had to return chair to the Gunbarrel location for further repair and return to my house the same day to attach the back to the bottom of the recliner. So I bought and paid for a chair in mid-November that was finally delivered to me in March. I would never be able to recommend this store. A friend of mine in Augusta ordered a custom leather recliner, delivered in six weeks. This store never initiated a phone call to me after the sale of the chair. The promised dates came and went with no phone call of explanation. Every phone call was initiated by me. This kind of customer service is not acceptable. Beware if you need anything "custom" and not on the floor, especially if it is a gift. You might be waiting a very long time.
