My husband and I bought a circa 1900 cottage on a lake that needed a lot of work. Dave was referred to us by our neighbor. Four years later Dave is the only carpenter we need or want. He replaced 23 windows, 2 doors, a bulkhead, built a laundry room addition, built an awesome 16 X 24 deck on a challenging slope and replaced a lot of rotten and missing trim associated with many miscellaneous repairs. Every job was done beautifully and with great attention to detail. We like Dave's work so much we asked him to work on our primary residence which was a 45 minute drive for Dave. He and his dependable crew built us another awesome deck. We recommend Dave highly. In addition to great work and being very dependable Dave is honest. My husband and I can't say enough good things about Dave.

We have hired David Barbale several times for work at the house. The biggest job was a complete roofing job. The work was done well and on time. Other work involved a new slider to the deck and some replacement siding. Again, the work was done well, with attention to detail.

Dave and his team are true professionals. We had our roof and a large fixed window replaced and the work was second to none. Dave communicated every detail of what was going to happen and when. No surprises and right on schedule. I know Dave has earned himself a stellar reputation within the community and I can honestly contest its warranted Great man, great job! Who could ask for more!

Dave Barbale has done numerous projects for us at both our home and rental house since May 2004. He has always met and exceeded our expectations. He answered our calls promptly, was very attentive to our requests and very professional. His workmanship was excellent, projects were completed on time, and he left the jobsite neat and clean. These projects included, but are not limited to, installing new vinyl replacement windows; new storm door units complete with new thresholds, jambs, and interior and exterior casing/trim; new basement vinyl rolling window units; replacing entry room subfloor and flooring with new prefinished wood flooring; installing new ceiling over existing kitchen ceiling and coordinating with electrical subcontractor for installing new ceiling lights; replacing rotted wood sills and other miscellaneous carpentry work. We would definitely use him again and highly recommend him.

We have used Dave twice, once to work on our roof and the other to replace all the windows in our home. Communication was good, he answered all our questions and responses were prompt. The work was completed with great care and on time. Workmanship was very professional and he took great care to make sure everything was done as we requested. Dave has been doing work for my wife and I since 2013 when he first installed a new 12x16 composite deck along with new Anderson windows for our cellar. We were very impressed with his work. In 2014 we used Dave once again when we installed new vinyl siding along with new gutters. We also replaced the front door and installed a new storm door.
Dave worked with us every step of the way, and worked very closely with us and answered any questions we had, no matter how small the question. Dave is very meticulous and takes pride in his work. He will not complete a job until he is satisfied with his work and you are satisfied. Dave was very reliable and kept within his time schedule we agreed upon.
Any questions we had he was quick to answer. My wife and I have recommended him to our friends. We would highly recommend him to anyone who is deciding to work with him and you will not be disappointed and completely satisfied.
Good contractors are very difficult to find and work with. Dave and his crew are very professional, reliable and great to work with. We will use him again and again.

Dave has done a lot of work on our (old) house: replaced ceilings, bathroom, roof work. The latest big project was gutting and rebuilding the bathroom- removing walls, ceiling, fixtures, tile, etc. He gave us a 2 week time frame- the work was done in exactly 2 weeks. We stuck to the budget- came in a little below. The work was done in a snowy February. Dave showed up with crew on time, placed tarp and other protective coverings as materials were brought in from outside and moved upstairs. He made sure the hall and stairway were clean every night. It was impressive. He also seems to hire capable workers who also have a good work ethic.

David Barbale not only replaced my deck & back door, he completely renovated the first floor of my mother's house. This included renovating a half bathroom to a full bathroom, adding a new back door & deck, installing a picture window and refinishing hardwood floors as well as painting. He and his crew are professional, prompt and trustworthy. My mom & I are extremely pleased with the quality of the work that was provided as well as the time it took to complete the work. David is also a great resource for electrician & plumber referrals. I highly recommend David Barbale Home Improvement!
