My daughter has been going to Young & Polite since she was 4 and now she is 7. We had our scheduled appointment this morning at 8:40 for a cleaning and were running late. I called in to let them know and they said as long as I could get there by 8:55 I could see the doctor. We arrived at 8:52 and was told we could not be seen. I asked why was I told over the phone if I got here by 8:55 I could be seen. The stafff was very unprofessional and I feel they did not value me as a customer. There was no attempt to resolve the issue at all. I asked the receptionist to provide me with the paperwork to release my dughters records so I can go to another dentist office. This office has alot of welfare recepiants and assume they can treat everyone like that. I will be leaving this office as of today and I would not advise anyone else to take their kids there.

I took my little sister there for a tooth extraction she started crying so I stared crying so I did to its a sister thing. They ask me to leave the room when I went in there was a line of blood .

The billing is outrageous in this place with more and more unexpected charges coming in my mailbox over a 6 month period for the same treatment I thought I had already paid for. I did not have a problem with their practice or the way they handle their patients; I have a problem with them continuing to bill me time and time again for something I thought was already paid for OR was covered by insurance to begin with. If you don't want to continue to pay over and over again for the same thing, find another practice.

The same thing has happened to...

The same thing has happened to me for my son's visits at least 3 times. Keep getting bills for the same thing, $1.00 here or $6.00 there, and they overcharged me by at least $100 for something, I don't even know what now I got so livid. Yeah, they rake in the bucks BIG TIME.

I took my daughter for her first visit with Young and Polite Children's Dentistry and the staff was absolutely wonderful! I was so pleased with the patience the doctor and the assistant gave my daughter! The doctor was very helpful with letting me know what things I can try at home and she did not make me feel rushed! I truly enjoyed my visit! I was in love with the under water murals and I'm excited for the games and tvs they have for our next visit! We will definitely be back!

If you want overpriced service...

If you want overpriced services, less than professional front desk staff and long wait times, this is the place for you. I wholeheartedly agree with each of the previously posted negative reviews. The wait time is ridiculous even if you are scheduled right after lunch. They called us to the exam room 20 mins. AFTER our scheduled appointment time. Then we waited another 10-15 mins. before the hygentist & assistant cleaned my son's teeth. Following the cleaning and x-ray, we waited another 30 mins to be seen by the dentist to review the x-rays for a mere 10 mins. Moreover, no one even apologized for the excessive wait time. This was my second and last visit to this practice. Additionally, their charges are outrageous and extremely overpriced compared to other dentists. It is evident this practice values money over customer service and consideration of people's time. This is especially bad considering this is a pediatric dentist where young children get restless. Don't waste your time or money!

Ok somebody tell me why should there be a balance on a cleaning without anything else extra? My daughters and I visited Dr's Young and Polite's office for the very first time for a normal cleaning and come to find out I get a bill in the mail for a four dollars balance. Usually when you have insurance they pay for one or two cleanings a year so why was there a balance......Ummmmm I think the services are over priced and if you go to there office you will see why. There are women walking around in 4.5

stilettos smiling, all the way to the bank. We waited almost an hour after getting to our appointment on time and I don't have a problem with this, realizing that every child needs special attention but the problem I had was no one came out to say anything, now this is where the problem lied. Also I made an appointment online to be seen for a second cleaning and never heard back from anyone, so I called a day before to see if my appointment had been schedule and the front desk acted as if I had commented a crime. My appointment had not been set and neither did they have the common courtesy to call and let me know, seeing how the website said that you would be contacted in a few minutes to confirm, only if the selected time is not available. No one call to tell me anything different so I was thinking everything was good to go. Horrible customer service and way over priced! Need less to say, I found another dentistry office where there is no balance due after the services and the customer service is outstanding.

Poor communication

The staff has poor communication with each other. I was charged an extra $130 because a staff member got confused with my insurance. They also almost took an xray, but I knew it wasn't going to be covered. Keep track of your own insurance benefits because they don't. They also refused to work with me on the mistake.

Great Experience!!!

Today was my child's first time going to the dentist and she loved it and can't wait to go back! They were very friendly and knew how to take care of the children! I would recommend this dentist office to anyone!

Wonderful Experience

My children loved the dentists, the staff, and how enjoyable the entire experience was. The waiting room is filled with entertainment for all ages not to mention the back office where procedures are performed. It looks as though we are under the sea with each sense being entertained. Lovely people lovely atmosphere.
