Horrible services. Scheduled a state inspection and waited for over 2 hrs then was told that I have to spend $1700 to fix my car in order to pass. The staff acted like this is the service I deserve and I should pay $1700 right away to let them repair. Of course I left and after 30 mins, my car passed inspection at an honest auto shop.

Griffin Brothers cannot even do an oil change without major damage. They cracked my aluminum oil pan on my XJ6 Jaguar due to over tightening the oil plug.

They did not let me know this and I had lost 3 quarts of oil when I finally realized the major leak; which equates to a quart plus a day.

This repair will cost over $1000.00 because of the 8 hours of labor required.

Trying to cover their behind for their error.

only good for oil change

I want to fix the engine oil leaking. They let me wait for 1.5 hour and my car parked outside their store all the time. Then the front desk guy told me: you need to change timing belt, oil pump, etc which was around $1100. They just let my car park there, without open the engine and get the conclusion. I know that u can change every parts and make it new. What really happened to my car? By the way, that store is located at north tryon street near UNC CHARLOTTE. I know you are a big store, l am nothing to you.

Good for change of oil, tires ...

Good for change of oil, tires and batteries... Nothing else. I rate them close to dishonest!. I took my car because the Air Bag was on. They charged me "$110.- for "Diagnostics", "$49.95 to Clean Connection" and "$12.80 for "Shop Supply" After three months the light was on again; I went to the shop and the Service man said that their "Computer Program" was down, "he would call me back" Since he never called me after two days, I called back; - he said to come in. A couple of hours later he called me and told me that I should go to the dealer because they did not like to mess with the Air Bags" How come he did not say that when he charged me $173.68 (With tax) the first time? You judge if I got a fair deal? These are the facts, duly registered...

Top Knotch Service

I recently visited the Griffin Brothers on Park Road for a Tire Repair. It was 6:15pm when I arrived desperate to get the tire repaired that evening. Griffin Brothers closes at 6pm. I was flying out of town the next morning and did not want to leave for my wife to handle. The Service guy told me on the phone he would wait and keep a technician there to take car of my desperate situation. This was my 1st visit. My neighbor told me Griffin Brothers would treat me right. Well he was right and Griffin Brothers exceeded my expectations. They stayed late and then did not charge me for the tire repair. It is not the fact that they did not charge me. What impressed me is the staff had the best attitude about staying late for my tire probelm. I will be back and tell everyone of my experience. Thanks Griffin Brothers Staff!

Dont trust them

Places like this give the industry a bad name. I moved to south charlotte from PA about 4 months ago. Before moving down I have a complete tune up performed, this service included; trans flush, rad. flush, plugs wires, wipers, oil change, pads/rotors, brake and power steering flush.

About 3,000 miles later I took my car into griffin brother for a simple oil change, they charged me for a system cleaning additive w/o authorization, and continued to tell me I was is need of both a trans flush and filter and well as a cooling system flush and new wipers ( all which had just been done).

Obviously they thought I was stupid and did not know anything about cars, I was very disappointed hopefully I can find a shop I can trust down here.

After reading this review I felt a little confused about the statements made. First of all we have 3 oil change packages which we explained to customer and none of which includes an additive. The customer tells us which oil package they want and we proceed. With our oil services we perform a 32 point courtesy check which does include pulling fluid samples from the vehicle. These samples are shown to the customer to see-they have a sample of their fluid along with what new fluid should look like. We only present what we find and show the customer who then decides to repair or not. This service goes along with our oil service. It is our responsibility to let our customers know the needs of their vehicle. I would be dishonest if I did not. We at no time judge our customers. This day and time most customers are very knowledgeable of their vehicle. Griffin Brothers have built their business with customer saatisfaction. This is what has made our company successful and seperates us from our competitors. I, if tere are any questions or concerns can always be reached and would welcome any concerns
