I had a couple of pieces done from Mark Von Destiny about a year ago. I went to his shop because Mark was highly recommended from my father. I was impressed by the quality of work i had seen, and I liked the style of the art. I finally chose 510 because the shop was comfortable. No holier than tho attitude that I had experienced at other shops in the area. I had visited a few different tattoo shops and instantly felt like I didn't belong. Who wants to spend all those hours and not to mention money on someone who doesn't care about there clients, or treat them with respect. Mark made me feel very comfortable and I always enjoyed my appointments. The shop has a very fun atmosphere. I am currently working on a chest piece from Thomas Michael, another great artist. I hold the same high opinion of him as I do Mark. I recommend this shop to my friends and everyone who stops to ask me about my pieces. This is a nice, funny, and fair group of guys go make gnarly tattooage happen!

I've had both sleeves and my chest work done at 510 over the past year and absolutely love the joint. They artists are really cool and do excellent work. I am actually starting my backpiece next month

I would not recommend Mark Von Destiny to anyone wanting to get a tattoo. He does not do the quality of work that the previous reviews have described. I wouldn't waste my time or my money getting a tattoo that you will have to have fixed at another shop. He is very unprofessional especially with female clients. Not to mention while you are there you can get your daily dose of drama from the neighbors next door who stumble into the shop on a daily basis drunk. Take the advice from someone who has shopped around when it comes to tattoos Charlotte has alot more to offer then 510 Expert.

Mark von Destiny has been my go-to go for ink since my first piece in 2007. A personable guy with a great sense of humor, and a passion for his work, he's always treated me like an old friend, and makes the experience 100% enjoyable. Before you know it, you're out of the chair dawning the work of one of the East Coast's best artists. 510 is the spot.

My first tat was by Mark Von D. I followed him when the shop opened in NoDa. It is a small intimate shop, great atmosphere, great artist, clean, and honest. I will never go anywhere else. Love you guys Bones

Mark is the only person to ever have tattooed me; I will never go elsewhere. He has a great sense of humor, is fun to be tattooed by and he is absolutely amazing with color. He's phenomenal. He can doodle up an amazing tattoo in a matter of minutes. If your looking for a great guy(s) for custom, fun atmosphere and just cool all around; 510 expert.

Mark did a tattoo for me several years ago.People still ask if it's a new tattoo.The colors are still bright and the lines are still sharp. I've had work done by other people but none were as conscientious about maintaining a clean,sanitary environment. Mark creates a safe and comfortable tattoo experience for everyone.

This is the place to go. Mark has done my entire left arm and it's flawless. Killer atmosphere and great pricing. Definately one of the best on the entire East Coast.

His attention to detail and shading exceeds all expectations. Even more important for me is his natural creativity. He has a unique ability to listen to what you want and make the finished product far beyond what you could have imagined.
