Inferior repair done on couch cushion. Sewed over top of edge ribbing. I provided a pillow with the same fabric but instead of removing the damaged area and folding the edges under and sewing in the new piece of fabric they left the damaged area and made a huge patch that the sewed on top of the damaged area and folded the edges of the patch under so there is a highly visible edge to the patch job that also sticks out above the rest of the cushion. This was even after they had it for three full additional business days yet it looks as if they rushed it to get it done rather than worry about doing it the correct way. This was my second negative experience with this cleaner. They also ruined $300 Bottega Veneta pants by unnecessarily removing sewing logos on the back of the pants. I had taken four pairs of pants in for alterations. The individual who works at the Brookdale location did the measurements and the alterations are done at another facility. When I received the pants I immediately noticed how they removed the Bottega Veneta marks. I could understand if they altered the waist and thought they were tag remains but all I had done was the length on three of the pants and all three were still long so I had to go to the main facility and have the owner remeasure them. Even he was surprised at how far off they were. I've only used this place for alterations so I'm not sure how their dry cleaning is but I would not and will not do business at this cleaner again. The individual at the Brookdale location has no customer service skills. When I pointed out the issues with the cushion and said that even I could have put a huge patch over the damaged area he said 'Then why didn't you?', because I didn't want a huge patch over it. I wanted it to look good. Now I have to take it into another location. I would not recommend doing alterations with this dry cleaner.
