ANOTHER HARD WORKING EX VPS EMPLOYEE SCREWED BY COMPANY

I worked for VPS in Albuquerque ,NM from May 2009 to Jan. 2010.First of all I agree with all of the other reviews. They do screw there employees cuz I am one of those employees.Even tho I was a hard working employee they didnt listen to a word I said. The managers of the properties would lie about things and they my Lt. and Manager of the company would believe them without even talking to me.They never had my back and they even did what one of the other reviews said and paid me minium wage on my last paycheck. When I got promoted to undercover at circle K they let me go off the team cuz I o.c'd a shoplifter when he was in handcuffs but I tried to tell my bosses that he was still threatening me when he was in handcuffs but they didnt listen like usual. He was trying to bite me and spit on me.Then they fired me when I asked for time off for my anniversary I even had my signed request form.

former employee

As a former vps employee back in 06 . I am saying my experience was knowledgable. If you followed your procedures and if you took the training seriously there usually wasn't any regrets. There is one highly ranked employee, who to my knowledge is still with vps, when the was any kind of trouble on or off the clock was always there for professional advice no matter what. There is no sour taste in my employment time at vps. Yes there were wanabes but if you were smart you would realize an adapt.

x-client

They suck all BS. Ghost hours. never trusted they cheat with all the clients. One guard works in different location same time. Do your self a favor ask their security guards before hiring them.

um ya, lies lies lies oh and even more lies, no stars awarded.

Lets put it this way, if you want to pay for hours not actually worked, have your residents constantly harassed, have un qualified, under paid, un motivated person working your property then VPS is the company for you. I can personally say that they ghost properties, they forced me to do it on a regular basis before I left. The owners care more about their wallet than employee safety and lie right to the clients and employees faces by saying they care. IMHO DON'T hire or work for VPS. They've been sued so many times I'm surprised they can stay afloat and thats not including the suits currently filed waiting for court hearings. They are a big liability in my book. I worked there for a while and moved into sworn law enfocement afterwards, it was the biggest mistake I have ever made.

Cut-throat Scandalous Security Company (No Stars for my review if I could!!!)

I have worked for this company for a year, put my 2 weeks notice in, and during my two weeks notice they paid me minimum wages and was frustrated at that. They explained the reason for paying me minimum wage is that I was seen not biking around properties but yet I worked for a long time with this company and they still allowed me to work my final 2 weeks which doesn't make sense. This company short changes you, have outrages disciplinary fees for dumb stuff, is scandalous, and they don't care for their employees. The few supervisors that worked for this company were good, the majority rest are wannabe cops, push it to far, and fill your head with crap. I now have my Bachelor's, went into Officer Candidates Course, and now a commissioned officer. The benefits, pay, respect, and challenges are great! All I have to say about VPS is that this company needs to be shut down for their disregard of respect to their employees and cut-throat tactics not on just their employees but clients too.

a security pro

i got hired on the spot great . had to work 3 properties a day one was on 7th on green way it was as big as a football field and instead of staffing four officers for good coverage they staffed one me. it took 3 hours on bike to patrol this property so how effective was that. and you pay out the anus for all equipment . a joke of a company if i ever herd one ,oh yeah armed for $11.00 per hour.haha

Dont Work For VPS and dont hire services from VPS

Professional and Guaranteed? Professional training maybe, but they only Guarantee to rip off clients and there own employees. Employees are charged $50 per a maintenance report not turned in. Ghosting hours and assigning officers 3 to 4 propertys per shift a night and them making them lie about arrival times in the DAR.For all who want to hire this company for security services your just getting lied to by VPS and youll be paying for ghosted hours. If your looking for employment, youll end up paying your hard earned work to VPS per mistake.

1 star is too much!

I could go on and on about personal experiences with VPS or it's individual supervisors and how unprofessional and unethical they are. I could tell you stories from every week of my employment there that would scare you away from working for VPS or hiring them as your security company. I could tell you how just last week two Valley Protective employees were arrested on the job for felony aggravated assault and felony kidnapping for "doing their job" as VPS guards. But all you really have to do is call Arizona Department of Public Services and ask how many complaints and law suits VPS has against them since 1999. They'll also tell you that VPS will NOT have their security contract renewed after it expires for violations and lawsuits against them. After they are forced to close their doors, any new security companies popping up with any connection to Dave, Terry, or Michelle are simply a way to stay in business so they can continue to rob their employees and customers.
