Located in Cerritos, Calif. Alcohol Beverage Control Department administers the provisions of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act to foster economic well being of the people of the State. The department imposes administrative and non-punitive penalties in a uniform manner. The department provides a number of prevention and education programs, such as responsible beverage service training provider program, licensee education on alcohol and drugs program and retail operating standards task force. The California Constitution authorizes the department and its discretion to suspend/revoke any license to sell alcoholic beverages.
