Terrible experience. I received heirloom china as a gift while visiting Utah. I took it to this UPS Store on Parrish Lane in Centerville Utah, to have it professionally wrapped, packed and shipped to my home. I decided I should take it to a "professional" because they would do a better job than I could. I was WRONG!!!
All 90 pieces of china were placed in ONE cardboard box. The pieces were NOT wrapped individually, but in large groups (of 10-12 pieces) then covered with bubble wrap. These groups were then placed in a cardboard box on top of each other (3-4 layers deep) with a few "packing peanuts" in between I think everyone knows "china" or glass plates/bowls etc need to be wrapped individually, piece by piece, for shipment. A sturdy shipping crate/box should also be used so there is no movement of the items within the box. And... layering heavy glass bundles 3-4 deep one top of each other is not a good idea.
I thought I was paying for a professional service?
The rating on the outside of the box says 65 lbs but the final weight of the china as noted on the receipt was 85 lbs.
Upon arrival, the results were disastrous with many broken pieces.

Next came the the hard part of trying to get someone to take responsibility!!! This store passed me to UPS. I submitted a claim, sent photos, sent information. I was then passed back to this "franchise" UPS Store to finalize this claim. It has been four weeks with no results. The only communication is when I call the "franchise store". Last week, he said the claim had been approved, This week he said it wasn't because he had received an email (but hadn't bothered to call me even though there was something more I needed to do).
I paid extra for insurance. I paid extra for them to "professionally" do the packing. I paid for shipping.
I received broken china in return for trusting this "franchise".
Don't make the same mistake!!! Do not trust them!
