About the Campground We are located along Pine Creek in the scenic Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Anywhere you look in the campground, you see mountains. One of our best features is that our campsites are right along the stream. We are literally surrounded by over one hundred thousand acres of state game lands and forests, making our place great for those that like the outdoors. We have creek-side, shaded and grassy sites with or without water and electric hook-up. We also have cabins with modern facilities. They have bathrooms with shower, toilet, sink ; kitchens with frig, stove, sink, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans. We have several cabins, each a little different in size and number of people they can accommodate. We do accept pets in our campground but not in the cabins. There are things to do during all seasons. Spring is a very popular time for canoeing, rafting, and trout fishing, especially fly-fishing. Pine Creek is stocked several times throughout the season along the boundaries of the campground and surrounding area.

We recently camped here, and while the cabins were beautiful and all stocked it was an awful place. No one told us that our dog wasn t allowed there, and the only sign in our cabin said no dogs IN cabin--not at cabin. So after walking around the campsite with our dog the owners came over and told us our dog had to leave. We asked why since there wasn t a sign, and no one had told us other wise. From there, the owners because really rude and disrespectful. I have never encountered anyone so blatantly rude. They told us that we were being unreasonable and called my husband an idiot. Why? Because there was a misunderstanding, and they eventually told us that they could change the rules as they please. So, apparently they changed their rules in the matter of few hours that we were there.

They said they were worried about fleas and ticks from the dogs, but the seasonals and the tents had dogs that people were walking around. If that was truly their issue then they should realize that with dogs walking around there s going to be fleas. In all honesty, we didn t feel welcome there. It was a bunch of people in polo shirts and nice shorts walking their purebred dogs, and we re simply not that type of people. I think we encountered so many issues because we re not their kind and they wanted us to leave. Eventually, we probably would have been kicked out anyway for doing something idiotic like talking too loud at our campsite.

Obviously, other people have had great experiences here, but I have never felt so uncomfortable, unwanted, and been so insulted. I can t believe they treat people like this when WE RE paying YOU.
