I was visiting from out of town and I thought I'd drop in for TC Dance Club's Monday "Newcomer's Class" from 7:00-8:00 (I'm a pretty experienced dancer and I'm sure I would have done well.) This class was advertised on their website as a Newcomer's Class and was a standalone class, not part of any series. I figured I'd be welcome.I was wrong. I was turned away at the door by the owner in no uncertain terms. The reason given was that I came by myself and the class was currently balanced - this seems strange, because I have been to many dance drop-in classes in other cities which do not require 100% balance (these other classes rotate partners).Maybe TC does not rotate partners, or maybe the instructor is so insecure he does not know how to teach actual newcomers. Anyway, I will 100% never ever return here!
