Provided by YP.comBe very careful when visiting any Accelerated/Athletico Physical Therapy Center. My name is Mark Herbrandson from Cedar Falls, IA. On 7/17/14 or shortly after, I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in the right shoulder based on exam and x-rays by Carrie Berry, N.P., at Peoples Clinic in Waterloo, IA. She asked if I would like to try physical therapy and I picked Accelerated Rehab in Cedar Falls, IA. My first three visits were made with a very nice young lady by the last name of Kockler on 8/4/14, 8/6/14, and 8/11/14. She initially diagnosed my problem as a Glenoid Labrum Tear. She did transfer to the Mason City area for Accelerated Rehab. My next two visits were by a young man by the last name of Lodge on 8/18/14 and 8/20/14. He stated he cured a high school quarterback and that he could cure me. After 5 visits at Accelerated Rehab, I decided to quit physical therapy after developing some pain issues. I did visit an Orthopedic surgeon on 9/24/14 by the name of Christopher Eagan in Cedar Falls, IA for a 2nd opinion and he did concur with the original diagnosis that there is no cartilage between the bones and a possible Rotator Cuff problem. No surgery for a few years based on the physicians statement. Cortisone shots every three months and Celebrex daily work wonders for me. P.S. - Moral of the story is original diagnosis at Accelerated Rehab was incorrect and the cure-all statement was verbal fantasy! LOL! When one has a doctorate in physical therapy you have to be very careful in expressing opinions.
