I have stayed at this park on several occasions with my dogs! I have never had a problem with the owner threatening to shoot my dogs! He has his own cat! I kept them tied up under my awning and drove in and out without feeling threatened or in danger! The owner did not have gun on his hip he had his cell phone! I don't think the previous reviewer bothered to get better acquainted with him! I talked with him and his wife and they told me that several people have driven off during the night without paying so he drives around the park checking out his investment! If I was in that business and people rip me off I would be cautious too!!! I would stay here again! Yes in July and the rest of the summer months there are snakes! Every state has them except maybe Alaska!

I can not recommend this park. The owner has an obvious and dangerous personality disorder. He has been known to shoot peoples pets. Ive never had a conversation with him where he wasn't abusive. He drives around the park in his golf cart looking for confrontations. He always wears a gun on his hip and has threatened to shoot my dog because he did not like where I had it tied out. His business practices are predatory and his wife is afraid of him. The entire time I was there I hid inside our camper from him but he would force confrontation when he saw us returning home. He would speed up on his golf cart wearing his gun and make threats. Really there was no way to avoid him because his trailer is at the entrance of the park. He will cheat you or steal from you and what are you going to do? Its his property and he always wears that gun. A dangerous and skuzzy run down park full of rattlesnakes.
