sat in road in front of house for about an hour, but never called to say he was here

I had an appointment & stayed home from work that day. I called the next day to find out what happened. The receptionist said "he sat in your driveway until 12:30, but there is no note here that says he called. It's policy that he call". I live on an acreage, & can't take the chance of someone opening my gate & letting out my dogs or livestock. Will be calling someone else.
