I feel it is my obligation to post to warn folks of the way the owner of Legacy Turf Farms of Cartersville GA, Mr. Craig Current manages his business and the treatment of the customer.
Legacy claimis they deliver the highest quality and freshest sod available. The sod I received was nothing but weeds. The farm manager admitted it had been cut from the wrong field and should have never been shipped. While this is disappointing it is not the purpose of this review. Mine was most likely an isolated and unfortunate human mistake. That happens.

What I do want to make EVERYONE aware is the treatment I received from the owner of the company, Mr. Craig Current. After many conversations with their customer service agent (outstanding) and their farm manager (very professional) I was told that no resolution could be made without the owner reviewing and signing off on the refund. It took over a week from the first notification of the issue until today when I received an email from Mr. Current. His response was that he is 100% confident his farm would not have shipped sod out in this condition. This is despite the fact his farm manger acknowledged they shipped this sod by mistake and the multiple pictures I have of the sod that was delivered. Mr. Current goes on to say that my situation is isolated and he has not had a complaint from anyone else. Therefore, he offers to give me a small credit back so that I can handle the treatment of the weeds on my own. He states the sod is healthy and viable. The pictures clearly show that the “sod” is more weeds than sod. I am not sure how then he makes the claim the “sod” is healthy and viable.

Sod is a major investment. I urge you to spend your money w one of the sod companies that stand behind their product, operate their business in a fair and ethical manner, and treat others with respect.

I decided to sod my yard this year and after spending time researching prices and being frustrated by the high costs of some of the other Atlanta Metro Sod retailers, I decided to look up turf farms and see if I could buy direct. I came across Legacy Turf Farms and after viewingpictures of the farm and their grasses, I called them. From the moment they answered the phone, it was an amazing experience. They explained everything and when they got to the price, I was pleased that their prices were much better than all the others, no middle man! After I ordered and throughout the process, i was kept informed on any weather related delays and was treated like a valued Customer. They cut your grass fresh and deliver it the following morning or day of so you will get the freshest grass around and then they deliver it for a very small forklift fee, (Cheaper than anywhere) When my grass arrived, it was fresh, beautiful and healthy. Highly recommend them if you`re looking to buy Sod.
