The Cartersville Fire Department s mission is to minimize the loss of life and property by providing effective fire suppression, fire prevention, rescue service and public education to the residents of Cartersville, Ga. The department provides a high degree of professionalism, training, operational readiness and public educational services. The Department s team members are trained extensively in first aid, CPR, and Crash Victim Extrication utilizing a variety of Jaws of Life equipment. Fire department personnel work in 24-hour shifts and are dispatched from 911 centers throughout the city. They also inspect everything from schools to fire extinguishers at local stores. The Cartersville Fire Department maintains three fire stations in the city.
