I went to get a wedding dress altered, they were nice enough to do a measurement for my corset for free, so I wanted to give them some business. I wouldn't recommend them for anything complicated, because when I returned in my corset with my dress for measurements she told me that:



-I should wear heels at the wedding instead of flats because this would make it easier for her to bring the hem up



-she would not be able to add sleeves without basically resewing the whole dress, and it would be too expensive



- when I said that was fine and I would pay, she said she would not be able to alter it at all because it was lace (I've never heard such a thing, and it was a used dress that had been altered before).



I think that they really were just too busy to work on my dress, but I wish they just would have told me when I asked if I could come in for a fitting the day before.
