Thanks to Chris Davis for taking care of my car care needs. I will never go anywhere but Chapel Hill tire in Carrboro! Chris made sure all my concerns were met! Thanks Chapel Hill Tire and Chris!

The people at this place seem very dishonest. They are very friendly and nice, but my belief is that it's all a cover.



I took my car in for the NC state inspection and it failed. So, then they got a bunch of money out of me to run a diagnostics test, then told me that I need to pay a few hundred in repairs. Well, I picked up my car and took it to another station, and it passed without any problems. The folks at the second station told me that there's no way the code would have come up during the inspection at this station but not come up during their own test, after having driven the car just a few miles. I went back to the Chapel Hill Tire Center to inform them of this and ask for a refund on the diagnostics test and the failed inspection, and they refused.



I feel like they have taken advantage of the fact that I am a woman who knows little about cars. It certainly was in their best interest to fail me for the inspection so they could charge me more for diagnostics and repairs. I don't trust them one bit. I recommend going anywhere else for inspection, especially if you are a woman who's not a car expert.



*Additionally, the price they quoted for the repairs needed to pass inspection was much higher than other quotes I got in the area. Even higher than the dealership, which never happens!
