The Gulf Stream Restaurant, located near the boat basin Carolina Beach behind the Exxon right across from the Tangerine Grill, is considered the best breakfast on the island. It is strictly cash only, but don’t let that keep you from one of their amazingly unique omelets with a Greek flare, go to the ATM!!! They also have extraordinary hash browns or homemade biscuits. Not only do they offer a legendary breakfast but this family owned restaurant provides customers with an outstanding lunch and dinner selection of comfort foods. Arriving early to the Gulf Stream Restaurant is always suggested because it is a local hot spot and does fill up quickly, but is well worth the wait if you end up getting there a little later than the rest.
