A Business casual restaurant. Great place for special occasions. It's a great romantic data night place, but is good for families too, as it has a great selection for kids menu!!

We went to Shadowbrook Restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed, either in the ambiance, the service, or the food. The restaurant, noted for seafood and steak, is built on a hillside, with many levels, sloping down to the Soquel River. To enter the restaurant, you either walk down the steps through the beautiful gardens with waterfalls, or by taking a cable car down the hill. We don't live in Capitola, so decided to spend the night in a motel. Much to our surprise, we discovered that Shadowbrook would pick us up at our motel for a free ride in one of their vintage taxis. We got to ride in a 1966 checker cab to and from the restaurant and felt so special. It was a magical evening in a restaurant filled with old world charm, and unlike most restaurants today, it wasn't noisy!

Beautiful, serene restaurant nestled in the hillside overlooking Soquel Creek. Award winning food and excellent service. Perfect for a private event, romantic dinner or casual dining in the bar. Walking distance to the Wharf. Love coming here!

Amazing food, awesome wine selection, all of the staff are gracious and the grounds are beautiful - the best place for special dining and celebrations.

Rude waiters; Overrated food. Do not bring children.
